1ΤῇNowδὲthe first [day]μιᾷof theτῶνweekσαββάτωνMaryΜαρίαἡMagdaleneΜαγδαληνὴcomesἔρχεταιearlyπρωῒdarkσκοτίαςstillἔτιit beingοὔσηςtoεἰςtheτὸtombμνημεῖον,andκαὶshe seesβλέπειtheτὸνstoneλίθονhaving been removedἠρμένονfromἐκtheτοῦtombμνημείου.
2She runsτρέχειthereforeοὖνandκαὶcomesἔρχεταιtoπρὸςSimonΣίμωναPeterΠέτρονandκαὶtoπρὸςtheτὸνotherἄλλονdiscipleμαθητὴνwhomὃνlovedἐφίλειὁJesusἸησοῦς,andκαὶshe saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖς·They have taken awayἮρανtheτὸνLordκύριονout ofἐκtheτοῦtombμνημείου,andκαὶnotοὐκwe knowοἴδαμενwhereποῦthey have laidἔθηκανHimαὐτόν.
3Went forthἐξῆλθενthereforeοὖνὁPeterΠέτροςandκαὶtheὁotherἄλλοςdiscipleμαθητής,andκαὶwere comingἤρχοντοtoεἰςtheτὸtombμνημεῖον.
4Were runningἔτρεχονnowδὲtheοἱtwoδύοtogetherὁμοῦ·andκαὶtheὁotherἄλλοςdiscipleμαθητὴςran aheadπροέδραμενfasterτάχιοντοῦthan PeterΠέτρουandκαὶcameἦλθενfirstπρῶτοςtoεἰςtheτὸtombμνημεῖον,
5Andκαὶhaving stooped downπαρακύψαςhe seesβλέπειlying [there]κείμεναtheτὰlinen clothsὀθόνια,notοὐhoweverμέντοιhe enteredεἰσῆλθεν.
6ComesἔρχεταιthenοὖνalsoκαὶSimonΣίμωνPeterΠέτροςfollowingἀκολουθῶνhimαὐτῷ,andκαὶhe enteredεἰσῆλθενintoεἰςtheτὸtombμνημεῖον·andκαὶseesθεωρεῖtheτὰlinen clothsὀθόνιαlying [there]κείμενα,
7andκαὶtheτὸsoudarionσουδάριον,whichὃwasἦνuponἐπὶtheτῆςheadκεφαλῆςof Himαὐτοῦ,notοὐwithμετὰtheτῶνlinen clothsὀθονίωνlyingκείμενονbutἀλλὰby itselfχωρὶςhaving been folded upἐντετυλιγμένονinεἰςaἕναplaceτόπον·
8Thenτότεthereforeοὖνenteredεἰσῆλθενalsoκαὶtheὁotherἄλλοςdiscipleμαθητὴςὁhaving comeἐλθὼνfirstπρῶτοςtoεἰςtheτὸtombμνημεῖον,andκαὶhe sawεἶδενandκαὶbelievedἐπίστευσεν·
9not yetοὐδέπωforγὰρunderstood theyᾔδεισανtheτὴνScriptureγραφὴνthatὅτιit behoovesδεῖHimαὐτὸνout fromἐκ[the] deadνεκρῶνto riseἀναστῆναι.
10Went awayἀπῆλθονthereforeοὖνagainπάλινtoπρὸςtheir [homes]αὑτοὺςtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταί.
11MaryΜαρίαhoweverδὲstoodεἱστήκειatπρὸςtheτῷtombμνημείῳoutsideἔξωweepingκλαίουσα.Asὡςthereforeοὖνshe was weepingἔκλαιενshe stooped downπαρέκυψενintoεἰςtheτὸtombμνημεῖον,
12andκαὶshe seesθεωρεῖtwoδύοangelsἀγγέλουςinἐνwhiteλευκοῖςsittingκαθεζομένους,oneἕναatπρὸςtheτῇheadκεφαλῇandκαὶoneἕναatπρὸςtheτοῖςfeetποσίν,whereὅπουhad lainἔκειτοtheτὸbodyσῶματοῦof JesusἸησοῦ.
13Andκαὶsayλέγουσινto herαὐτῇtheyἐκεῖνοι·WomanΓύναι,whyτίweep youκλαίεις;She saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖςBecauseὅτιthey have taken awayἮρανtheτὸνLordκύριόνof meμου,andκαὶnotοὐκI knowοἶδαwhereποῦthey have laidἔθηκανHimαὐτόν.
14These thingsταῦταhaving saidεἰποῦσαshe turnedἐστράφηbackεἰςτὰaroundὀπίσω,andκαὶshe seesθεωρεῖτὸνJesusἸησοῦνstanding [there]ἑστῶτα,andκαὶnotοὐκhad knownᾔδειthatὅτιJesusἸησοῦςit isἐστιν.
15Saysλέγειto herαὐτῇJesusἸησοῦς·WomanΓύναι,whyτίdo you weepκλαίεις;Whomτίναdo you seekζητεῖς;SheἐκείνηthinkingδοκοῦσαthatὅτιtheὁgardenerκηπουρόςHe isἐστινsaysλέγειto Himαὐτῷ·SirΚύριε,ifεἰyouσὺhave carried offἐβάστασαςhimαὐτόν,tellεἰπέmeμοιwhereποῦyou have laidἔθηκαςHimαὐτόν,and Iκἀγὼhimαὐτὸνwill take awayἀρῶ.
16Saysλέγειto herαὐτῇJesusἸησοῦς·MaryΜαριάμ.Having turned aroundστραφεῖσαsheἐκείνηsaysλέγειto Himαὐτῷin HebrewἙβραϊστί·RabboniΡαββουνιthatὃis to sayλέγεταιTeacherΔιδάσκαλε.
17Saysλέγειto herαὐτῇJesusἸησοῦς·NotΜήMeμουtouchἅπτου,not yetοὔπωforγὰρhave I ascendedἀναβέβηκαtoπρὸςtheτὸνFatherπατέρα·goπορεύουhoweverδὲtoπρὸςtheτοὺςbrothersἀδελφούςof Meμουandκαὶsayεἰπὲto themαὐτοῖς·I am ascendingἈναβαίνωtoπρὸςtheτὸνFatherπατέραof MeμουandκαὶFatherπατέραof youὑμῶνand [to]καὶGodθεόνof MeμουandκαὶGodθεὸνof youὑμῶν.
18ComesἔρχεταιMaryΜαριὰμἡMagdaleneΜαγδαληνὴbringing wordἀγγέλλουσαto theτοῖςdisciplesμαθηταῖςὅτιI have seenἙώρακαtheτὸνLordκύριονand [that]καὶthese thingsταῦταHe had saidεἶπενto herαὐτῇ.
19It beingΟὔσηςthereforeοὖνeveningὀψίαςtheτῇdayἡμέρᾳsameἐκείνῃtheτῇfirstμιᾷof [the] weekσαββάτων,andκαὶtheτῶνdoorsθυρῶνhaving been shutκεκλεισμένωνwhereὅπουwereἦσανtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶthroughδιὰtheτὸνfearφόβονof theτῶνJewsἸουδαίων,cameἦλθενὁJesusἸησοῦςandκαὶstoodἔστηinεἰςtheτὸmidstμέσον,andκαὶHe saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖς·PeaceΕἰρήνηto youὑμῖν.
20Andκαὶthisτοῦτοhaving saidεἰπὼνHe showedἔδειξενHisτὰςhandsχεῖραςandκαὶHisτὴνsideπλευρὰνto themαὐτοῖς.Rejoicedἐχάρησανthenοὖνtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶhaving seenἰδόντεςtheτὸνLordκύριον.
21Saidεἶπενthereforeοὖνto themαὐτοῖςὁJesusἸησοῦςagainπάλιν·PeaceΕἰρήνηto youὑμῖν·asκαθὼςhas sent forthἀπέσταλκένmeμεtheὁFatherπατήρ,I alsoκἀγὼsendπέμπωyouὑμᾶς.
22Andκαὶthisτοῦτοhaving saidεἰπὼνHe breathed on [them]ἐνεφύσησενandκαὶHe saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖς·ReceiveΛάβετε[the] SpiritπνεῦμαHolyἅγιον·
23Ifἄνof anyτινωνyou might forgiveἀφῆτεtheτὰςsinsἁμαρτίαςthey are forgivenἀφέωνταιthemαὐτοῖς·Ifἄνanyτινωνyou might retainκρατῆτεthey are retainedκεκράτηνται.
24ThomasΘωμᾶςhoweverδὲoneεἷςofἐκtheτῶνTwelveδώδεκα,the [one]ὁcalledλεγόμενοςDidymusΔίδυμος,notοὐκwasἦνwithμετ’themαὐτῶνwhenὅτεcameἦλθενJesusἸησοῦς.
25Were sayingἔλεγονthereforeοὖνto himαὐτῷtheοἱotherἄλλοιdisciplesμαθηταί·We have seenἙωράκαμενtheτὸνLordκύριον.ὁButδὲhe saidεἶπενto themαὐτοῖς·IfἘὰνnotμὴI seeἴδωinἐνtheταῖςhandsχερσὶνof Himαὐτοῦtheτὸνmarkτύπονof theτῶνnailsἥλωνandκαὶputβάλωtheτὸνfingerδάκτυλόνof meμουintoεἰςtheτὸνmarkτύπονof theτῶνnailsἥλωνandκαὶputβάλωof meμουtheτὴνhandχεῖραintoεἰςtheτὴνsideπλευρὰνof Himαὐτοῦ,noοὐnotμὴwill I believeπιστεύσω.
26AndΚαὶafterμεθ’daysἡμέραςeightὀκτὼagainπάλινwereἦσανinsideἔσωtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶof HimαὐτοῦandκαὶThomasΘωμᾶςwithμετ’themαὐτῶν.ComesἔρχεταιὁJesusἸησοῦςtheτῶνdoorsθυρῶνhaving been shutκεκλεισμένων,AndκαὶHe stoodἔστηinεἰςtheτὸmidstμέσονandκαὶsaidεἶπεν·PeaceΕἰρήνηto youὑμῖν.
27ThenεἶταHe saysλέγειτῷto ThomasΘωμᾷ·BringΦέρεtheτὸνfingerδάκτυλόνof youσουhereὧδεandκαὶseeἴδεtheτὰςhandsχεῖράςof Meμου,andκαὶbringφέρεtheτὴνhandχεῖράof youσουandκαὶput [it]βάλεintoεἰςtheτὴνsideπλευράνof Meμου,andκαὶnotμὴbeγίνουunbelievingἄπιστοςbutἀλλὰbelievingπιστός.
28AnsweredἀπεκρίθηThomasΘωμᾶςandκαὶsaidεἶπενto Himαὐτῷ·TheὉLordκύριόςof MeμουandκαὶtheὁGodθεόςof meμου.
29Saysλέγειto himαὐτῷὁJesusἸησοῦς·BecauseὍτιyou have seenἑώρακάςMeμεyou have believedπεπίστευκας;blessed [are]μακάριοιthoseοἱnotμὴhaving seenἰδόντεςyetκαὶhaving believedπιστεύσαντες.
30ManyΠολλὰindeedμὲνthereforeοὖνalsoκαὶotherἄλλαsignsσημεῖαdidἐποίησενὁJesusἸησοῦςin the presenceἐνώπιονof theτῶνdisciplesμαθητῶν,whichἃnotοὐκareἔστινwrittenγεγραμμέναinἐνtheτῷbookβιβλίῳthisτούτῳ·
31theseταῦταhoweverδὲhave been writtenγέγραπταιthatἵναyou may believeπιστεύητεthatὅτιJesusἸησοῦςisἐστινtheὁChristχριστὸςtheὁSonυἱὸςτοῦof Godθεοῦ,andκαὶthatἵναbelievingπιστεύοντεςlifeζωὴνyou may haveἔχητεinἐνtheτῷnameὀνόματιof Himαὐτοῦ.
