Hebrews 8
1[The] sumΚεφάλαιονnowδὲofἐπὶthe thingsτοῖςbeing spoken of [is that]λεγομένοις,suchτοιοῦτονwe haveἔχομενa high priestἀρχιερέα,whoὃςsat downἐκάθισενatἐν[the] right handδεξιᾷof theτοῦthroneθρόνουof theτῆςMajestyμεγαλωσύνηςinἐνtheτοῖςheavensοὐρανοῖς,
2in theτῶνholy placesἁγίωνa ministerλειτουργὸςandκαὶin theτῆςtabernacleσκηνῆςτῆςtrueἀληθινῆς,whichἣνhas pitchedἔπηξενtheὁLordκύριος,notοὐκmanἄνθρωπος.
3Everyπᾶςforγὰρhigh priestἀρχιερεὺςin orderεἰςτὸto offerπροσφέρεινgiftsδῶράbothτεandκαὶsacrificesθυσίαςis appointedκαθίσταται·wherefore [it was]ὅθενnecessaryἀναγκαῖονto haveἔχεινsomethingτιalsoκαὶ[for] this OneτοῦτονthatὃHe might offerπροσενέγκῃ.
4IfεἰcertainlyμὲνthenοὖνHe wereἦνonἐπὶearthγῆς,not evenοὐδ’ἂνwould He beἦνa priestἱερεύς,there beingὄντωνthoseτῶνofferingπροσφερόντωνaccording toκατὰlawνόμονtheτὰgiftsδῶρα·
5whoοἵτινεςa copyὑποδείγματιandκαὶshadowσκιᾷserveλατρεύουσινof theτῶνheavenlyἐπουρανίων,asκαθὼςwas divinely instructedκεχρημάτισταιMosesΜωϋσῆςbeing aboutμέλλωνto completeἐπιτελεῖνtheτὴνtabernacleσκηνήν,See thatὍραforγάρ,He saysφησίν,you shall makeποιήσειςall thingsπάνταaccording toκατὰtheτὸνpatternτύποντὸνhaving been shownδειχθένταyouσοιinἐνtheτῷmountainὄρει·
6nowνυνὶhoweverδὲmore excellentδιαφορωτέραςHe has obtainedτέτυχενa ministryλειτουργίας,as much asὅσῳalsoκαὶof a betterκρείττονόςHe isἐστινcovenantδιαθήκης[the] mediatorμεσίτης,whichἥτιςuponἐπὶbetterκρείττοσινpromisesἐπαγγελίαιςhas been enactedνενομοθέτηται.
7IfΕἰforγὰρtheἡfirstπρώτηthatἐκείνηhad beenἦνfaultlessἄμεμπτος,notοὐκἂνfor a secondδευτέραςwould have been soughtἐζητεῖτοa placeτόπος·
8Finding faultμεμφόμενοςforγὰρwith themαὐτοὺςHe saysλέγει·BeholdἸδοὺ[the] daysἡμέραιare comingἔρχονται,saysλέγει[the] Lordκύριος,andκαὶI will ratifyσυντελέσωwithἐπὶtheτὸνhouseοἶκονof IsraelἸσραὴλandκαὶwithἐπὶtheτὸνhouseοἶκονof JudahἸούδαa covenantδιαθήκηνnewκαινήν,
9notοὐaccording toκατὰtheτὴνcovenantδιαθήκηνthatἣνI madeἐποίησαwithτοῖςfathersπατράσινof themαὐτῶνinἐν[the] dayἡμέρᾳof having taken hold ofἐπιλαβομένουby Meμουtheτῆςhandχειρὸςof themαὐτῶνto leadἐξαγαγεῖνthemαὐτοὺςout ofἐκ[the] landγῆςof EgyptΑἰγύπτου,becauseὅτιtheyαὐτοὶnotοὐκdid continueἐνέμεινανinἐνtheτῇcovenantδιαθήκῃof Meμου,and Iκἀγὼdisregardedἠμέλησαthemαὐτῶν,saysλέγει[the] Lordκύριος.
10Forὅτιthis [is]αὕτηtheἡcovenantδιαθήκηthatἣνI will makeδιαθήσομαιwith theτῷhouseοἴκῳof IsraelἸσραὴλafterμετὰtheτὰςdaysἡμέραςthoseἐκείνας,saysλέγει[the] Lordκύριος,puttingδιδοὺςLawsνόμουςof Meμουintoεἰςtheτὴνmindδιάνοιανof themαὐτῶν,andκαὶuponἐπὶheartsκαρδίαςof themαὐτῶνI will inscribeἐπιγράψωthemαὐτούς,andκαὶI will beἔσομαιto themαὐτοῖςforεἰςGodθεόνandκαὶtheyαὐτοὶwill beἔσονταίto Meμοιforεἰςa peopleλαόν.
11Andκαὶnoοὐnotμὴshall they teachδιδάξωσινeachἕκαστοςtheτὸνneighborπολίτηνof himαὐτοῦandκαὶeachἕκαστοςtheτὸνbrotherἀδελφὸνof himαὐτοῦ,sayingλέγων·KnowΓνῶθιtheτὸνLordκύριον,becauseὅτιallπάντεςwill knowεἰδήσουσίνMeμεfromἀπὸ[the] leastμικροῦto [the]ἕωςgreatestμεγάλουof themαὐτῶν.
12becauseὅτιmercifulἵλεωςI will beἔσομαιtoward theταῖςiniquitiesἀδικίαιςof themαὐτῶν,andκαὶtheτῶνsinsἁμαρτιῶνof themαὐτῶνnoοὐnotμὴI shall rememberμνησθῶmoreἔτι.
13InἐντῷsayingλέγεινnewΚαινὴνHe has made obsoleteπεπαλαίωκενtheτὴνfirstπρώτην,thatτὸthenδὲgrowing oldπαλαιούμενονandκαὶagingγηράσκον[is] nearἐγγὺςvanishingἀφανισμοῦ.
