Romans 15

1We oughtὈφείλομενnowδὲweἡμεῖςwho [are]οἱstrongδυνατοὶtheτὰweaknessesἀσθενήματαof theτῶνweakἀδυνάτωνto bearβαστάζειν,andκαὶnotμὴourselvesἑαυτοῖςto pleaseἀρέσκειν.

2Eachἕκαστοςof usἡμῶνtheτῷneighborπλησίονlet pleaseἀρεσκέτωuntoεἰςtheτὸgoodἀγαθὸνforπρὸςedificationοἰκοδομήν·

3EvenκαὶforγὰρὁChristΧριστὸςnotοὐχHimselfἑαυτῷpleasedἤρεσεν·butἀλλὰasκαθὼςit has been writtenγέγραπται·TheΟἱreproachesὀνειδισμοὶof thoseτῶνreproachingὀνειδιζόντωνYouσεhave fallenἐπέπεσανonἐπ’Meἐμέ.

4Whateverὅσαforγὰρwas written in the pastπροεγράφη,forεἰςτὴνourἡμετέρανinstructionδιδασκαλίανwas writtenἐγράφη,so thatἵναthroughδιὰτῆςenduranceὑπομονῆςandκαὶthroughδιὰtheτῆςencouragementπαρακλήσεωςof theτῶνScripturesγραφῶντὴνhopeἐλπίδαwe might haveἔχωμεν.

5TheὁnowδὲGodθεὸςτῆςof enduranceὑπομονῆςandκαὶτῆςencouragementπαρακλήσεωςmay He giveδῴηyouὑμῖνtheτὸsameαὐτὸto be of mindφρονεῖνwithἐνone anotherἀλλήλοιςaccording toκατὰChristΧριστὸνJesusἸησοῦν,

6so thatἵναwith one accordὁμοθυμαδὸνwithἐνoneἑνὶmouthστόματιyou may glorifyδοξάζητεtheτὸνGodθεὸνandκαὶFatherπατέραof theτοῦLordκυρίουof usἡμῶνJesusἸησοῦChristΧριστοῦ.

7ThereforeΔιὸreceiveπροσλαμβάνεσθεone anotherἀλλήλους,asκαθὼςalsoκαὶὁChristΧριστὸςreceivedπροσελάβετοyouὑμᾶς,toεἰς[the] gloryδόξαντοῦof Godθεοῦ.

8I sayλέγωforγὰρChristΧριστὸνa servantδιάκονονto have becomeγεγενῆσθαιof [the] circumcisionπεριτομῆςforὑπὲρ[the] truthἀληθείαςof Godθεοῦ,in orderεἰςτὸto confirmβεβαιῶσαιtheτὰςpromises givenἐπαγγελίαςto theτῶνfathersπατέρων,

9τὰand [for]δὲthe Gentilesἔθνηforὑπὲρmercyἐλέουςto glorifyδοξάσαιτὸνGodθεόν·asκαθὼςit has been writtenγέγραπται·Because ofΔιὰthisτοῦτοI will praiseἐξομολογήσομαίYouσοιamongἐν[the] Gentilesἔθνεσι,andκαὶto theτῷnameὀνόματίof Youσουwill I singψαλῶ.

10Andκαὶagainπάλινit saysλέγει·Rejoice youΕὐφράνθητε,Gentilesἔθνη,withμετὰtheτοῦpeopleλαοῦof Himαὐτοῦ.

11Andκαὶagainπάλιν·PraiseΑἰνεῖτε,allπάνταtheτὰGentilesἔθνη,theτὸνLordκύριον,andκαὶpraiseἐπαινεσάτωσανHimαὐτὸνallπάντεςtheοἱpeoplesλαοί.

12AndκαὶagainπάλινIsaiahἨσαΐαςsaysλέγει·There will beἜσταιtheἡrootῥίζατοῦof JesseἸεσσαί,andκαὶthe [One]ὁarisingἀνιστάμενοςto rule overἄρχεινGentilesἐθνῶν·inἐπ’Himαὐτῷ[the] Gentilesἔθνηwill hopeἐλπιοῦσιν.

13ὁAndδὲthe Godθεὸςτῆςof hopeἐλπίδοςmay fillπληρώσαιyouὑμᾶςwith allπάσηςjoyχαρᾶςandκαὶpeaceεἰρήνηςinἐντῷbelievingπιστεύειν,forεἰςτὸto aboundπερισσεύεινyouὑμᾶςinἐντῇhopeἐλπίδιinἐν[the] powerδυνάμει[of the] SpiritπνεύματοςHolyἁγίου.

14I am persuadedΠέπεισμαιnowδέ,brothersἀδελφοίof meμου,alsoκαὶmyselfαὐτὸςIἐγὼconcerningπερὶyouὑμῶν,thatὅτιalsoκαὶyou yourselvesαὐτοὶfullμεστοίareἐστεof goodnessἀγαθωσύνης,being filledπεπληρωμένοιwith allπάσηςknowledgeγνώσεως,being ableδυνάμενοιalsoκαὶone anotherἀλλήλουςto admonishνουθετεῖν.

15more boldlyτολμηρότερονhoweverδὲI have writtenἔγραψαto youὑμῖνinἀπὸpartμέρους,asὡςremindingἐπαναμιμνῄσκωνyouὑμᾶς,because ofδιὰtheτὴνgraceχάριντὴνhaving been givenδοθεῖσάνto meμοιbyὑπὸτοῦGodθεοῦ

16forεἰςτὸto beεἶναίmeμεa ministerλειτουργὸνChristΧριστοῦof JesusἸησοῦtoεἰςtheτὰGentilesἔθνη,administering the sacred serviceἱερουργοῦνταof theτὸgospelεὐαγγέλιοντοῦof Godθεοῦ,so thatἵναmight becomeγένηταιtheἡofferingπροσφορὰof theτῶνGentilesἐθνῶνacceptableεὐπρόσδεκτος,having been sanctifiedἡγιασμένηin [the]ἐνSpiritπνεύματιHolyἁγίῳ.

17I haveἔχωthereforeοὖνtheτὴνboastingκαύχησινinἐνChristΧριστῷJesusἸησοῦin the thingsτὰpertaining toπρὸςτὸνGodθεόν·

18Notοὐforγὰρwill I dareτολμήσωanythingτιto speak ofλαλεῖνwhatὧνexceptοὐhas accomplishedκατειργάσατοChristΧριστὸςthroughδι’meἐμοῦunto [the]εἰςobedienceὑπακοὴνof [the] Gentilesἐθνῶν,by wordλόγῳandκαὶdeedἔργῳ,

19in [the]ἐνpowerδυνάμειof signsσημείωνandκαὶwondersτεράτων,in [the]ἐνpowerδυνάμειof [the] Spiritπνεύματος·so asὥστεfor meμεfromἀπὸJerusalemἸερουσαλὴμandκαὶaroundκύκλῳuntoμέχριτοῦIllyricumἸλλυρικοῦto have fully proclaimedπεπληρωκέναιtheτὸgospelεὐαγγέλιοντοῦof ChristΧριστοῦ,

20thusοὕτωςnowδὲbeing ambitiousφιλοτιμούμενονto preach the gospelεὐαγγελίζεσθαιnotοὐχwhereὅπουhad been namedὠνομάσθηChristΧριστός,so thatἵναnotμὴuponἐπ’another’sἀλλότριονfoundationθεμέλιονI might buildοἰκοδομῶ,

21Ratherἀλλὰasκαθὼςit has been writtenγέγραπται·to whomΟἷςnotοὐκit was proclaimedἀνηγγέληconcerningπερὶHimαὐτοῦThey will seeὄψονται,andκαὶthose thatοἳnotοὐκhave heardἀκηκόασινwill understandσυνήσουσιν.

22ThereforeΔιὸalsoκαὶI have been hinderedἐνεκοπτόμηντὰmany [times]πολλὰτοῦto comeἐλθεῖνtoπρὸςyouὑμᾶς·

23Nowνυνὶhoweverδὲno longerμηκέτιa placeτόπονhavingἔχωνinἐνtheτοῖςregionsκλίμασιtheseτούτοις,a great desireἐπιποθίανnowδὲhaving hadἔχωντοῦto comeἐλθεῖνtoπρὸςyouὑμᾶςforἀπὸmanyἱκανῶνyearsἐτῶν,

24wheneverὡςἂνI may goπορεύωμαιtoεἰςτὴνSpainΣπανίαν,I hopeἐλπίζωforγὰρgoing throughδιαπορευόμενοςto seeθεάσασθαιyouὑμᾶςandκαὶbyὑφ’youὑμῶνto be equippedπροπεμφθῆναιthereἐκεῖifἐὰνof youὑμῶνfirstπρῶτονinἀπὸpartμέρουςI should be filledἐμπλησθῶ—

25NowνυνὶhoweverδὲI am goingπορεύομαιtoεἰςJerusalemἸερουσαλὴμministeringδιακονῶνto theτοῖςsaintsἁγίοις.

26Were pleasedεὐδόκησανforγὰρMacedoniaΜακεδονίαandκαὶAchaiaἈχαΐαa contributionκοινωνίανcertainτινὰto makeποιήσασθαιforεἰςtheτοὺςpoorπτωχοὺςamong theτῶνsaintsἁγίωντῶνinἐνJerusalemἸερουσαλήμ.

27They were pleasedεὐδόκησανforγάρ,andκαὶdebtorsὀφειλέταιthey areεἰσὶνof themαὐτῶν·Ifεἰforγὰρthe thingsτοῖςspiritualπνευματικοῖςof themαὐτῶνhave shared inἐκοινώνησανtheτὰGentilesἔθνη,they oughtὀφείλουσινalsoκαὶinἐνtheτοῖςmaterial thingsσαρκικοῖςto ministerλειτουργῆσαιto themαὐτοῖς.

28Thisτοῦτοthereforeοὖνhaving finishedἐπιτελέσας,andκαὶhaving sealedσφραγισάμενοςto themαὐτοῖςtheτὸνfruitκαρπὸνthisτοῦτον,I will set offἀπελεύσομαιthroughδι’youὑμῶνintoεἰςSpainΣπανίαν·

29I knowοἶδαnowδὲthatὅτιcomingἐρχόμενοςtoπρὸςyouὑμᾶςinἐν[the] fullnessπληρώματιof the blessingεὐλογίαςof ChristΧριστοῦI will comeἐλεύσομαι.

30I exhortΠαρακαλῶnowδὲyouὑμᾶς,brothersἀδελφοί,byδιὰtheτοῦLordκυρίουof usἡμῶνJesusἸησοῦChristΧριστοῦandκαὶbyδιὰtheτῆςloveἀγάπηςof theτοῦSpiritπνεύματοςto strive together withσυναγωνίσασθαίmeμοιinἐνtheταῖςprayersπροσευχαῖςforὑπὲρmeἐμοῦtoπρὸςτὸνGodθεόν,

31so thatἵναI may be deliveredῥυσθῶfromἀπὸthoseτῶνrefusing to be persuadedἀπειθούντωνinἐντῇJudeaἸουδαίᾳandκαὶtheἡserviceδιακονίαof meμουwhich [is]ἡinεἰςJerusalemἸερουσαλὴμacceptableεὐπρόσδεκτοςto theτοῖςsaintsἁγίοιςmay beγένηται,

32so thatἵναinἐνjoyχαρᾷhaving comeἐλθὼνtoπρὸςyouὑμᾶςby [the]διὰwillθελήματοςof GodθεοῦI may be refreshed withσυναναπαύσωμαιyouὑμῖν.

33ὁAndδὲthe Godθεὸςτῆςof peaceεἰρήνης[be] withμετὰallπάντωνof youὑμῶν·Amenἀμήν.
