Romans 15:4

4Whateverὅσαforγὰρwas written in the pastπροεγράφη,forεἰςτὴνourἡμετέρανinstructionδιδασκαλίανwas writtenἐγράφη,so thatἵναthroughδιὰτῆςenduranceὑπομονῆςandκαὶthroughδιὰtheτῆςencouragementπαρακλήσεωςof theτῶνScripturesγραφῶντὴνhopeἐλπίδαwe might haveἔχωμεν.

For as much as was written before was all written for our instruction, so that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures, we might have the hope.
