Luke 13
1Were presentΠαρῆσανnowδέsomeτινεςatἐνthe sameαὐτῷτῷtimeκαιρῷtellingἀπαγγέλλοντεςHimαὐτῷaboutπερὶtheτῶνGalileansΓαλιλαίωνof whomὧνtheτὸbloodαἷμαPilateΠιλᾶτοςhad mingledἔμιξενwithμετὰtheτῶνsacrificesθυσιῶνof themαὐτῶν.
2AndκαὶansweringἀποκριθεὶςHe saidεἶπενto themαὐτοῖς·Think youΔοκεῖτεthatὅτιοἱGalileansΓαλιλαῖοιtheseοὗτοιsinnersἁμαρτωλοὶbeyondπαρὰallπάνταςtheτοὺςGalileansΓαλιλαίουςwereἐγένοντο,becauseὅτιsuch thingsταῦταthey have sufferedπεπόνθασιν;
3Noοὐχί,I sayλέγωto youὑμῖν,butἀλλ’ifἐὰνnotμὴyou repentμετανοῆτεallπάντεςlikewiseὁμοίωςyou will perishἀπολεῖσθε.
4Orἢthoseἐκεῖνοιοἱeighteenδεκαοκτὼonἐφ’whomοὓςfellἔπεσενtheὁtowerπύργοςinἐντῷSiloamΣιλωὰμandκαὶkilledἀπέκτεινενthemαὐτούς,think youδοκεῖτεthatὅτιtheseαὐτοὶdebtorsὀφειλέταιwereἐγένοντοbeyondπαρὰallπάνταςtheτοὺςmenἀνθρώπουςτοὺςdwellingκατοικοῦνταςin JerusalemἸερουσαλήμ;
5Noοὐχί,I sayλέγωto youὑμῖν,butἀλλ’ifἐὰνnotμὴrepentμετανοῆτεallπάντεςlikewiseὡσαύτωςyou will perishἀπολεῖσθε.
6He was speakingἜλεγενthenδὲthisταύτηντὴνparableπαραβολήν.A fig treeΣυκῆνhadεἶχένa certain [man]τιςplantedπεφυτευμένηνinἐνtheτῷvineyardἀμπελῶνιof himαὐτοῦ,andκαὶhe cameἦλθενseekingζητῶνfruitκαρπὸνonἐνitαὐτῇandκαὶnotοὐχdid find [any]εὗρεν.
7He saidεἶπενthenδὲtoπρὸςtheτὸνvinedresserἀμπελουργόν·BeholdἸδοὺthreeτρίαyearsἔτηthroughoutἀφ’theseοὗI comeἔρχομαιseekingζητῶνfruitκαρπὸνonἐνtheτῇfig treeσυκῇthisταύτῃandκαὶnotοὐχdo find [any]εὑρίσκω·Cut downἔκκοψονitαὐτήν·whyἱνατίevenκαὶtheτὴνgroundγῆνshould it use upκαταργεῖ;
8ὁAndδὲansweringἀποκριθεὶςhe saysλέγειto himαὐτῷ·SirΚύριε,let aloneἄφεςitαὐτὴνalsoκαὶthisτοῦτοtheτὸyearἔτος,untilἕωςwhenὅτουI shall digσκάψωaroundπερὶitαὐτὴνandκαὶput [in]βάλωmanureκόπρια·
9and ifκἂνindeedμὲνit should bearποιήσῃfruitκαρπὸνinεἰςthe [time]τὸso be itμέλλον—Ifεἰhoweverδὲnotμήγε,you will cut downἐκκόψειςitαὐτήν.
10He wasἮνnowδὲteachingδιδάσκωνinἐνoneμιᾷof theτῶνsynagoguesσυναγωγῶνonἐνtheτοῖςSabbathsσάββασιν.
11Andκαὶbeholdἰδοὺa womanγυνὴa spiritπνεῦμαhavingἔχουσαof infirmityἀσθενείαςyearsἔτηeighteenδεκαοκτώ,Andκαὶshe wasἦνbent overσυγκύπτουσαandκαὶnotμὴableδυναμένηto lift up herselfἀνακύψαιtoεἰςtheτὸfullπαντελές.
12Having seenἰδὼνthenδὲherαὐτὴνὁJesusἸησοῦςcalled [her] nearπροσεφώνησενandκαὶsaidεἶπενto herαὐτῇ·WomanΓύναι,you have been freed fromἀπολέλυσαιtheτῆςsicknessἀσθενείαςof youσου,
13AndκαὶHe laidἐπέθηκενupon herαὐτῇtheτὰςhandsχεῖρας·andκαὶimmediatelyπαραχρῆμαshe was made straightἀνωρθώθη,andκαὶbegan to glorifyἐδόξαζεντὸνGodθεόν.
14Answeringἀποκριθεὶςnowδὲtheὁruler of the synagogueἀρχισυνάγωγος,indignantἀγανακτῶνbecauseὅτιon theτῷSabbathσαββάτῳhad healedἐθεράπευσενὁJesusἸησοῦς,he was sayingἔλεγενto theτῷcrowdὄχλῳὅτιSixἛξdaysἡμέραιthere areεἰσὶνinἐνwhichαἷςit behoovesδεῖto workἐργάζεσθαι·inἐνtheseαὐταῖςthereforeοὖνcomingἐρχόμενοιbe healedθεραπεύεσθεandκαὶnotμὴon theτῇdayἡμέρᾳof theτοῦSabbathσαββάτου.
15AnsweredἀπεκρίθηthereforeδὲhimαὐτῷtheὁLordκύριοςandκαὶsaidεἶπεν·HypocritesὙποκριταί,Each oneἕκαστοςof youὑμῶνon theτῷSabbathσαββάτῳnotοὐdoes he untieλύειtheτὸνoxβοῦνof himαὐτοῦorἢtheτὸνdonkeyὄνονfromἀπὸtheτῆςstallφάτνηςandκαὶhaving led [it] awayἀπαγαγὼνgive [it] to drinkποτίζει;
16Thisταύτηνnowδὲa daughterθυγατέραof AbrahamἈβραὰμbeingοὖσαν,whomἣνhas boundἔδησενὁSatanΣατανᾶςbeholdἰδοὺtenδέκαandκαὶeightὀκτὼyearsἔτη,notοὐκought [she]ἔδειto be loosedλυθῆναιfromἀπὸtheτοῦbondδεσμοῦthisτούτουon theτῇdayἡμέρᾳof theτοῦSabbathσαββάτου;
17Andκαὶthese thingsταῦταon sayingλέγοντοςof Himαὐτοῦwere ashamedκατῃσχύνοντοallπάντεςthoseοἱopposedἀντικείμενοιto Himαὐτῷ,andκαὶallπᾶςtheὁcrowdὄχλοςwas rejoicingἔχαιρενatἐπὶallπᾶσινtheτοῖςglorious thingsἐνδόξοιςthatτοῖςwere being doneγινομένοιςbyὑπ’Himαὐτοῦ.
18He was sayingἜλεγενthenοὖν·To whatΤίνιlikeὁμοίαisἐστὶνtheἡkingdomβασιλείατοῦof Godθεοῦ,Andκαὶto whatτίνιshall I likenὁμοιώσωitαὐτήν;
19Likeὁμοίαit isἐστὶνto a grainκόκκῳof mustardσινάπεως,whichὃνhaving takenλαβὼνa manἄνθρωποςcastἔβαλενintoεἰςgardenκῆπονhisἑαυτοῦ,andκαὶit grewηὔξησενandκαὶcameἐγένετοintoεἰςa treeδένδρον,andκαὶtheτὰbirdsπετεινὰof theτοῦairοὐρανοῦencampedκατεσκήνωσενinἐνtheτοῖςbranchesκλάδοιςof itαὐτοῦ.
20AndΚαὶagainπάλινHe saidεἶπεν·To whatΤίνιshall I likenὁμοιώσωtheτὴνkingdomβασιλείαντοῦof Godθεοῦ;
21Likeὁμοίαit isἐστὶνto leavenζύμῃ,whichἣνhaving takenλαβοῦσαa womanγυνὴhidἔκρυψενinεἰςof mealἀλεύρουmeasuresσάταthreeτρίαuntilἕωςitοὗwas leavenedἐζυμώθηallὅλον.
22AndΚαὶHe was going throughδιεπορεύετοbyκατὰtownsπόλειςandκαὶvillagesκώμαςteachingδιδάσκωνandκαὶprogressπορείανmakingποιούμενοςtowardεἰςJerusalemἹεροσόλυμα.
23Saidεἶπενthenδέoneτιςto Himαὐτῷ·LordΚύριε,ifεἰ[are] fewὀλίγοιthoseοἱbeing savedσῳζόμενοι;ὁAndδὲHe saidεἶπενtoπρὸςthemαὐτούς·
24StriveἈγωνίζεσθεto enter inεἰσελθεῖνthroughδιὰtheτῆςnarrowστενῆςdoorθύρας,forὅτιmanyπολλοί,I sayλέγωto youὑμῖν,will seekζητήσουσινto enter inεἰσελθεῖνandκαὶnotοὐκwill be ableἰσχύσουσιν,
25Fromἀφ’whatοὗἂνshall have risen upἐγερθῇtheὁmaster of the houseοἰκοδεσπότηςandκαὶshall have shutἀποκλείσῃtheτὴνdoorθύραν,thenκαὶyou should beginἄρξησθεoutsideἔξωto standἑστάναιandκαὶto knockκρούεινat theτὴνdoorθύρανsayingλέγοντες·LordΚύριε,openἄνοιξονto usἡμῖν·Andκαὶhe answeringἀποκριθεὶςwill sayἐρεῖto youὑμῖν·NotΟὐκI do knowοἶδαyouὑμᾶςfrom whereπόθενareἐστέ.
26Thenτότεwill you beginἄρξεσθεto sayλέγειν·We ateἘφάγομενin presenceἐνώπιόνof youσουandκαὶdrankἐπίομεν,andκαὶinἐνtheταῖςstreetsπλατείαιςof usἡμῶνyou taughtἐδίδαξας·
27Andκαὶhe will sayἐρεῖI tellλέγωνyouὑμῖν·notΟὐκI do knowοἶδαfrom whereπόθενyou areἐστέ·departἀπόστητεfromἀπ’meἐμοῦ,all [you]πάντεςworkersἐργάταιof unrighteousnessἀδικίας.
28Thereἐκεῖwill beἔσταιtheὁweepingκλαυθμὸςandκαὶtheὁgnashingβρυγμὸςof theτῶνteethὀδόντων,whenὅτανyou seeὄψησθεAbrahamἈβραὰμandκαὶIsaacἸσαὰκandκαὶJacobἸακὼβandκαὶallπάνταςtheτοὺςprophetsπροφήταςinἐνtheτῇkingdomβασιλείᾳτοῦof Godθεοῦ,youὑμᾶςhoweverδὲare being castἐκβαλλομένουςoutἔξω.
29Andκαὶthey will comeἥξουσινfromἀπὸeastἀνατολῶνandκαὶwestδυσμῶνandκαὶfromἀπὸnorthβορρᾶandκαὶsouthνότουandκαὶwill reclineἀνακλιθήσονταιinἐνtheτῇkingdomβασιλείᾳτοῦof Godθεοῦ.
30Andκαὶbeholdἰδοὺthere areεἰσὶνlastἔσχατοιwhoοἳwill beἔσονταιfirstπρῶτοι,andκαὶthere areεἰσὶνfirstπρῶτοιwhoοἳwill beἔσονταιlastἔσχατοι.
31InἘνsameαὐτῇtheτῇhourὥρᾳcame nearπροσῆλθάνcertainτινεςPhariseesΦαρισαῖοιsayingλέγοντεςto Himαὐτῷ·Go outἜξελθεandκαὶproceedπορεύουfrom hereἐντεῦθεν,forὅτιHerodἩρῴδηςdesiresθέλειYouσεto killἀποκτεῖναι.
32AndκαὶHe saidεἶπενto themαὐτοῖς·Having goneΠορευθέντεςsayεἴπατεto theτῇfoxἀλώπεκιthatταύτῃ·BeholdἸδοὺI cast outἐκβάλλωdemonsδαιμόνιαandκαὶcuresἰάσειςI completeἀποτελῶtodayσήμερονandκαὶtomorrowαὔριον,andκαὶtheτῇthird [day]τρίτῃI am perfectedτελειοῦμαι.
33Butπλὴνit behoovesδεῖMeμεtodayσήμερονandκαὶtomorrowαὔριονandκαὶthe [day]τῇfollowingἐχομένῃto proceedπορεύεσθαι,forὅτιnotοὐκit is possible [for]ἐνδέχεταιa prophetπροφήτηνto perishἀπολέσθαιoutside ofἔξωJerusalemἸερουσαλήμ.
34JerusalemἸερουσαλὴμJerusalemἸερουσαλήμ,ἡkillingἀποκτείνουσαtheτοὺςprophetsπροφήταςandκαὶstoningλιθοβολοῦσαthoseτοὺςhaving been sentἀπεσταλμένουςtoπρὸςherαὐτήν—how oftenποσάκιςI have wantedἠθέλησαto gatherἐπισυνάξαιthoseτὰchildrenτέκναof youσουthatὃνwayτρόπονa hen [gathers]ὄρνιςτὴνherἑαυτῆςbroodνοσσιὰνunderὑπὸtheτὰςwingsπτέρυγας,andκαὶnotοὐκyou were willingἠθελήσατε.
35Beholdἰδοὺis leftἀφίεταιto youὑμῖνtheὁhouseοἶκοςof youὑμῶν.I sayλέγωnowδὲto youὑμῖν,noοὐnotμὴshall you seeἴδητέMeμεuntilἕως[the time] comesἥξειwhenὅτεyou sayεἴπητε·Blessed isΕὐλογημένοςthe [One]ὁcomingἐρχόμενοςinἐν[the] nameὀνόματιof [the] Lordκυρίου.
