Hebrews 3
1ThereforeὍθεν,brothersἀδελφοὶholyἅγιοι,of [the] callingκλήσεωςheavenlyἐπουρανίουpartakersμέτοχοι,carefully considerκατανοήσατεtheτὸνapostleἀπόστολονandκαὶhigh priestἀρχιερέαof theτῆςconfessionὁμολογίαςof usἡμῶνJesusἸησοῦν,
2faithfulπιστὸνbeingὄνταto the [One]τῷhaving appointedποιήσαντιHimαὐτὸνasὡςalsoκαὶMosesΜωϋσῆςinἐνtheτῷhouseοἴκῳof Himαὐτοῦ.
3Of greaterπλείονοςforγὰρHeοὗτοςgloryδόξηςthanπαρὰMosesΜωϋσῆνhas been counted worthyἠξίωταιbyκαθ’so much asὅσονgreaterπλείοναhonorτιμὴνhasἔχειthan theτοῦhouse [itself]οἴκουthe [one]ὁhaving builtκατασκευάσαςitαὐτόν·
4Everyπᾶςforγὰρhouseοἶκοςis builtκατασκευάζεταιbyὑπόsomeoneτινος,the [One]ὁhoweverδὲeverythingπάνταhaving built [is]κατασκευάσαςGodθεός.
5AndκαὶMosesΜωϋσῆςindeedμὲν[was] faithfulπιστὸςinἐνallὅλῳtheτῷhouseοἴκῳof Himαὐτοῦasὡςa servantθεράπωνuntoεἰςa testimonyμαρτύριονof the thingsτῶνgoing to be spokenλαληθησομένων,
6ChristΧριστὸςhoweverδὲasὡς[the] Sonυἱὸςoverἐπὶtheτὸνhouseοἶκονof Himαὐτοῦ·of whomὃςhouseοἶκόςareἐσμενweἡμεῖς,if indeedἐὰν[our]τὴνconfidenceπαρρησίανandκαὶtheτὸboastκαύχημαof [our]τῆςhopeἐλπίδοςwe should holdκατάσχωμεν.
7ThereforeΔιό,just asκαθὼςsaysλέγειtheτὸSpiritπνεῦματὸHolyἅγιον·TodayΣήμερονifἐὰνtheτῆςvoiceφωνῆςof Himαὐτοῦyou should hearἀκούσητε,
8notμὴhardenσκληρύνητεtheτὰςheartsκαρδίαςof youὑμῶνasὡςinἐνtheτῷrebellionπαραπικρασμῷ,inκατὰtheτὴνdayἡμέραντοῦof testingπειρασμοῦinἐνtheτῇwildernessἐρήμῳ,
9whereοὗtried [Me]ἐπείρασανtheοἱfathersπατέρεςof youὑμῶνbyἐνtestingδοκιμασίᾳandκαὶsawεἶδονtheτὰworksἔργαof Meμου
10fortyτεσσεράκονταyearsἔτη·ThereforeδιὸI was angryπροσώχθισαwith theτῇgenerationγενεᾷthatταύτῃandκαὶI saidεἶπον·AlwaysἈεὶthey go astrayπλανῶνταιτῇin the heartκαρδίᾳ·of themαὐτοὶandδὲnotοὐκhave they knownἔγνωσανtheτὰςwaysὁδούςof Meμου·
11soὡςI sworeὤμοσαinἐνtheτῇwrathὀργῇof Meμου·[not]Εἰshall they enterεἰσελεύσονταιintoεἰςtheτὴνrestκατάπαυσίνof Meμου.
12Take heedβλέπετε,brothersἀδελφοί,lestμήποτεthere will beἔσταιinἔνanyτινιof youὑμῶνa heartκαρδίαevilπονηρὰof unbeliefἀπιστίαςintoἐντῷfalling awayἀποστῆναιfromἀπὸGodθεοῦ[the] livingζῶντος,
13Butἀλλὰencourageπαρακαλεῖτεotherἑαυτοὺςeachκαθ’everyἑκάστηνdayἡμέραν,whileἄχριςοὗτὸtodayΣήμερονit is calledκαλεῖται,so thatἵναnotμὴmay be hardenedσκληρυνθῇoneτιςofἐξyouὑμῶνby [the] deceitfulnessἀπάτῃτῆςof sinἁμαρτίας·
14Partakersμέτοχοιforγὰρτοῦof ChristΧριστοῦwe have becomeγεγόναμεν,if indeedἐάνπερfrom theτὴνbeginningἀρχὴνtheτῆςassuranceὑποστάσεωςuntoμέχρι[the] endτέλουςfirmβεβαίανwe should holdκατάσχωμεν.
15Asἐντῷit is saidλέγεσθαι·TodayΣήμερονifἐὰνtheτῆςvoiceφωνῆςof Himαὐτοῦyou should hearἀκούσητε,notΜὴhardenσκληρύνητεtheτὰςheartsκαρδίαςof youὑμῶνasὡςinἐνtheτῷrebellionπαραπικρασμῷ.
16Whoτίνεςforγὰρ[were those] having heardἀκούσαντεςrebelledπαρεπίκραναν;butἀλλ’notοὐallπάντεςthoseοἱhaving comeἐξελθόντεςout ofἐξEgyptΑἰγύπτουby the leading ofδιὰMosesΜωϋσέως;
17With whomτίσινnowδὲwas He indignantπροσώχθισενfortyτεσσεράκονταyearsἔτη;[if] notοὐχὶwith thoseτοῖςhaving sinnedἁμαρτήσασιν,whoseὧντὰbodiesκῶλαfellἔπεσενinἐνtheτῇwildernessἐρήμῳ;
18To whomτίσινthenδὲdid He swear thatὤμοσενnotμὴshall they enterεἰσελεύσεσθαιintoεἰςtheτὴνrestκατάπαυσινof Himαὐτοῦifεἰnotμὴto thoseτοῖςhaving disobeyedἀπειθήσασιν;
19Andκαὶwe seeβλέπομενthatὅτιnotοὐκthey were ableἠδυνήθησανto enter inεἰσελθεῖνbecause ofδι’unbeliefἀπιστίαν.
