Hebrews 4
1We should fearΦοβηθῶμενthereforeοὖνlestμήποτεleft remainingκαταλειπομένηςof the promiseἐπαγγελίαςto enterεἰσελθεῖνintoεἰςtheτὴνrestκατάπαυσινof Himαὐτοῦshould seemδοκῇanyτιςofἐξyouὑμῶνto have fallen shortὑστερηκέναι·
2Andκαὶforγάρwe are [those]ἐσμενhaving had the gospel preachedεὐηγγελισμένοιjust asκαθάπερthey [did]κἀκεῖνοι,butἀλλ’notοὐκdid profitὠφέλησενtheὁmessageλόγοςof [their]τῆςhearingἀκοῆςthemἐκείνους,notμὴunitedσυγκεκερασμένουςtheτῇfaithπίστειof thoseτοῖςhaving heardἀκούσασιν.
3We enterεἰσερχόμεθαforγὰρintoεἰςrestκατάπαυσινthoseοἱhaving believedπιστεύσαντες,asκαθὼςHe has saidεἴρηκεν·SoὩςI sworeὤμοσαinἐνtheτῇwrathὀργῇof meμου,NotΕἰshall they enterεἰσελεύσονταιintoεἰςtheτὴνrestκατάπαυσίνof Meμου,And yetκαίτοιtheτῶνworksἔργωνfromἀπὸ[the] foundationκαταβολῆςof [the] worldκόσμουhave been finishedγενηθέντων,
4He has spokenεἴρηκενforγάρsomewhereπουconcerningπερὶtheτῆςseventh [day]ἑβδόμηςin this wayοὕτως·AndΚαὶrestedκατέπαυσενὁGodθεὸςonἐνtheτῇdayἡμέρᾳτῇseventhἑβδόμῃfromἀπὸallπάντωνtheτῶνworksἔργωνof Himαὐτοῦ,
5Andκαὶinἐνthis [passage]τούτῳagainπάλιν·[Not]Εἰshall they enterεἰσελεύσονταιintoεἰςtheτὴνrestκατάπαυσίνof Meμου.
6Sinceἐπεὶthereforeοὖνit remains [for]ἀπολείπεταιsomeτινὰςto enterεἰσελθεῖνintoεἰςitαὐτήν,andκαὶthoseοἱformerlyπρότερονhaving received the good newsεὐαγγελισθέντεςnotοὐκdid enter inεἰσῆλθονbecause ofδι’disobedienceἀπείθειαν,
7againπάλινa certainτινὰHe appointsὁρίζειdayἡμέραν,TodayΣήμερον,throughἐνDavidΔαυὶδsayingλέγωνafterμετὰso longτοσοῦτονa timeχρόνον,just asκαθὼςit has been saidπροείρηται,TodayΣήμερονifἐὰνtheτῆςvoiceφωνῆςof Himαὐτοῦyou shall hearἀκούσητε,notμὴhardenσκληρύνητεtheτὰςheartsκαρδίαςof youὑμῶν·
8Ifεἰforγὰρto themαὐτοὺςJoshuaἸησοῦςhad given restκατέπαυσεν,notοὐκἂνaboutπερὶanotherἄλληςHe would have spokenἐλάλειafterμετὰthisταῦταdayἡμέρας.
9So thenἄραthere remainsἀπολείπεταιa Sabbath restσαββατισμὸςfor theτῷpeopleλαῷτοῦof Godθεοῦ·
10The [one]ὁforγὰρhaving enteredεἰσελθὼνintoεἰςtheτὴνrestκατάπαυσινof Himαὐτοῦalsoκαὶheαὐτὸςrestedκατέπαυσενfromἀπὸtheτῶνworksἔργωνof himαὐτοῦasὥσπερfromἀπὸtheτῶνownἰδίωνὁGod [did]θεός.
11We should be diligentσπουδάσωμενthereforeοὖνto enterεἰσελθεῖνintoεἰςthatἐκείνηντὴνrestκατάπαυσιν,so thatἵναnotμὴbyἐνtheτῷsameαὐτῷanyoneτιςexampleὑποδείγματιshould fallπέσῃτῆςof disobedienceἀπειθείας.
12Living [is]Ζῶνforγὰρtheὁwordλόγοςτοῦof Godθεοῦandκαὶactiveἐνεργὴςandκαὶsharperτομώτεροςthanὑπὲρanyπᾶσανswordμάχαιρανtwo-edgedδίστομονevenκαὶpenetratingδιϊκνούμενοςas far asἄχρι[the] divisionμερισμοῦof soulψυχῆςandκαὶspiritπνεύματος,of jointsἁρμῶνandτεalsoκαὶmarrowsμυελῶν,andκαὶable to judgeκριτικὸς[the] thoughtsἐνθυμήσεωνandκαὶintentionsἐννοιῶνof [the] heartκαρδίας·
13Andκαὶnotοὐκthere isἔστινcreatureκτίσιςhiddenἀφανὴςbeforeἐνώπιονHimαὐτοῦ,all thingsπάνταhoweverδὲ[are] uncoveredγυμνὰandκαὶlaid bareτετραχηλισμέναto theτοῖςeyesὀφθαλμοῖςof Himαὐτοῦ,toπρὸςwhomὃν[is] ourἡμῖνὁreckoningλόγος.
14HavingἜχοντεςthereforeοὖνa high priestἀρχιερέαgreatμέγανhaving passed throughδιεληλυθόταtheτοὺςheavensοὐρανούς,JesusἸησοῦνtheτὸνSonυἱὸντοῦof Godθεοῦ,we should hold firmlyκρατῶμενto [our]τῆςconfessionὁμολογίας·
15Notοὐforγὰρhave weἔχομενa high priestἀρχιερέαnotμὴbeing ableδυνάμενονto sympathizeσυμπαθῆσαιwith theταῖςweaknessesἀσθενείαιςof usἡμῶν,[one] having been temptedπεπειρασμένονhoweverδὲinκατὰall thingsπάνταbyκαθ’the same wayὁμοιότηταwithoutχωρὶςsinἁμαρτίας.
16We should comeπροσερχώμεθαthereforeοὖνwithμετὰboldnessπαρρησίαςto theτῷthroneθρόνῳτῆςof graceχάριτος,so thatἵναwe may receiveλάβωμενmercyἔλεοςandκαὶgraceχάρινmay findεὕρωμενforεἰςin time of needεὔκαιρονhelpβοήθειαν.
