Revelation 9
1AndΚαὶtheὁfifthπέμπτοςangelἄγγελοςsounded [his] trumpetἐσάλπισεν·andκαὶI sawεἶδονa starἀστέραout ofἐκτοῦheavenοὐρανοῦhaving fallenπεπτωκόταtoεἰςtheτὴνearthγῆν,andκαὶwas givenἐδόθηto itαὐτῷtheἡkeyκλεὶςof theτοῦpitφρέατοςof theτῆςabyssἀβύσσου·
2Andκαὶhe openedἤνοιξενtheτὸpitφρέαρof theτῆςabyssἀβύσσου,andκαὶwent upἀνέβηsmokeκαπνὸςout ofἐκtheτοῦpitφρέατοςlikeὡς[the] smokeκαπνὸςof a furnaceκαμίνουgreatμεγάλης,andκαὶwere darkenedἐσκοτώθηtheὁsunἥλιοςandκαὶtheὁairἀὴρbyἐκtheτοῦsmokeκαπνοῦof theτοῦpitφρέατος.
3Andκαὶout ofἐκtheτοῦsmokeκαπνοῦcame forthἐξῆλθονlocustsἀκρίδεςuntoεἰςtheτὴνearthγῆν,andκαὶwas givenἐδόθηthemαὐταῖςpowerἐξουσίαlikeὡςhaveἔχουσινpowerἐξουσίανtheοἱscorpionsσκορπίοιof theτῆςearthγῆς.
4Andκαὶit was saidἐρρέθηtheyαὐταῖςthatἵναnotμὴthey shall harmἀδικήσουσινtheτὸνgrassχόρτονof theτῆςearthγῆςnorοὐδὲanyπᾶνgreen thingχλωρὸνnorοὐδὲanyπᾶνtreeδένδρον,ifεἰnotμὴtheτοὺςmenἀνθρώπουςοἵτινεςnotοὐκhavingἔχουσιtheτὴνsealσφραγῖδατοῦof Godθεοῦonἐπὶtheτῶνforeheadsμετώπων.
5Andκαὶit was grantedἐδόθηto themαὐτοῖςthatἵναnotμὴthey should killἀποκτείνωσινthemαὐτούς,butἀλλ’thatἵναthey shall torment [them]βασανισθήσονταιmonthsμῆναςfiveπέντε·Andκαὶtheὁtormentβασανισμὸςof themαὐτῶν[was] likeὡςtormentβασανισμὸςof a scorpionσκορπίου,whenὅτανit might strikeπαίσῃa manἄνθρωπον.
6Andκαὶinἐνtheταῖςdaysἡμέραιςthoseἐκείναιςwill seekζητήσουσινοἱmenἄνθρωποιτὸνdeathθάνατονandκαὶnotοὐno moreμὴwill findεὑρήσουσινitαὐτόν,andκαὶthey will longἐπιθυμήσουσινto dieἀποθανεῖνandκαὶshall fleeφεύγειὁdeathθάνατοςfromἀπ’themαὐτῶν.
7AndΚαὶtheτὰappearanceὁμοιώματαof theτῶνlocusts [was]ἀκρίδωνlikeὅμοιαhorsesἵπποιςhaving been preparedἡτοιμασμένοιςforεἰςbattleπόλεμον,andκαὶuponἐπὶtheτὰςheadsκεφαλὰςof themαὐτῶν[were something] likeὡςcrownsστέφανοιlikeὅμοιοιgoldχρυσῷ,andκαὶtheτὰfacesπρόσωπαof themαὐτῶνlikeὡς[the] facesπρόσωπαof menἀνθρώπων,
8Andκαὶthey hadεἶχονhairτρίχαςlikeὡςhairτρίχαςof womenγυναικῶν,andκαὶtheοἱteethὀδόντεςof themαὐτῶνlike [those]ὡςof lionsλεόντωνwereἦσαν,
9Andκαὶthey hadεἶχονbreastplatesθώρακαςlikeὡςbreastplatesθώρακαςof ironσιδηροῦς,andκαὶtheἡsoundφωνὴof theτῶνwingsπτερύγωνof themαὐτῶν[was] asὡς[the] soundφωνὴof chariotsἁρμάτωνof horsesἵππωνmanyπολλῶνrushingτρεχόντωνintoεἰςbattleπόλεμον·
10Andκαὶthey haveἔχουσινtailsοὐρὰςlikeὁμοίαςscorpionsσκορπίοιςandκαὶstingersκέντρα,andκαὶinἐνtheταῖςtailsοὐραῖςof themαὐτῶν[is] theἡpowerἐξουσίαof themαὐτῶνto injureἀδικῆσαιτοὺςmenἀνθρώπουςfor monthsμῆναςfiveπέντε.
11They haveἔχουσινoverἐπ’themαὐτῶνa kingβασιλέαtheτὸνangelἄγγελονof theτῆςabyssἀβύσσου·[The] nameὄνομαof Himαὐτῷin HebrewἙβραϊστὶ[is] AbaddonἈβαδδώνandκαὶinἐνtheτῇGreekἙλληνικῇ[the] nameὄνομαhe hasἔχειApollyonἈπολλύων.
12ἩWoeοὐαὶtheἡfirstμίαhas passedἀπῆλθεν·Beholdἰδοὺare comingἔρχεταιstillἔτιtwoδύοwoesοὐαὶafterμετὰthese thingsταῦτα.
13AndΚαὶtheὁsixthἕκτοςangelἄγγελοςsounded [his] trumpetἐσάλπισεν·andκαὶI heardἤκουσαvoiceφωνὴνoneμίανfromἐκtheτῶνhornsκεράτωνof theτοῦaltarθυσιαστηρίουτοῦgoldenχρυσοῦτοῦbeforeἐνώπιοντοῦGodθεοῦ,
14sayingλέγονταto theτῷsixthἕκτῳangelἀγγέλῳ,the [one]ὁhavingἔχωνtheτὴνtrumpetσάλπιγγα·ReleaseΛῦσονtheτοὺςfourτέσσαραςangelsἀγγέλουςthoseτοὺςhaving been boundδεδεμένουςatἐπὶtheτῷriverποταμῷτῷgreatμεγάλῳEuphratesΕὐφράτῃ.
15Andκαὶwere releasedἐλύθησανtheοἱfourτέσσαρεςangelsἄγγελοιοἱhaving been preparedἡτοιμασμένοιforεἰςtheτὴνhourὥρανandκαὶdayἡμέρανandκαὶmonthμῆναandκαὶyearἐνιαυτόν,so thatἵναthey might killἀποκτείνωσινaτὸthirdτρίτοντῶνof mankindἀνθρώπων.
16Andκαὶtheὁnumberἀριθμὸςof theτῶνarmiesστρατευμάτωνof theτοῦcavalry [was]ἱππικοῦtwice ten thousandδισμυριάδεςten thousandsμυριάδων·I heardἤκουσαtheτὸνnumberἀριθμὸνof themαὐτῶν.
17AndκαὶthusοὕτωςI sawεἶδονtheτοὺςhorsesἵππουςinἐνtheτῇvisionὁράσειandκαὶthoseτοὺςsittingκαθημένουςonἐπ’themαὐτῶν,havingἔχονταςbreastplatesθώρακαςfieryπυρίνουςandκαὶhyacinthineὑακινθίνουςandκαὶbrimstoneθειώδεις·Andκαὶtheαἱheadsκεφαλαὶof theτῶνhorses [were]ἵππωνlikeὡςheadsκεφαλαὶof lionsλεόντων,andκαὶout ofἐκtheτῶνmouthsστομάτωνof themαὐτῶνproceedἐκπορεύεταιfireπῦρandκαὶsmokeκαπνὸςandκαὶbrimstoneθεῖον.
18Byἀπὸτῶνthreeτριῶνplaguesπληγῶνtheseτούτωνwas killedἀπεκτάνθησανaτὸthirdτρίτονofτῶνmankindἀνθρώπων,byἐκtheτοῦfireπυρὸςandκαὶby theτοῦsmokeκαπνοῦandκαὶby theτοῦbrimstoneθείουτοῦproceedingἐκπορευομένουout ofἐκtheτῶνmouthsστομάτωνof themαὐτῶν.
19Theἡforγὰρpowersἐξουσίαof theτῶνhorsesἵππωνinἐνtheτῷmouthsστόματιof themαὐτῶνareἐστινandκαὶinἐνtheταῖςtailsοὐραῖςof themαὐτῶν·theαἱforγὰρtailsοὐραὶof themαὐτῶν[are] likeὅμοιαιserpentsὄφεσιν,havingἔχουσαιheadsκεφαλάς,andκαὶwithἐνthemαὐταῖςthey injureἀδικοῦσιν.
20andΚαὶtheοἱrestλοιποὶtheτῶνmankindἀνθρώπων,whoοἳnotοὐκkilledἀπεκτάνθησανbyἐνταῖςplaguesπληγαῖςtheseταύταις,notοὐδὲrepentμετενόησανofἐκtheτῶνworksἔργωνof theτῶνhandsχειρῶνtheirαὐτῶν,toἵναnotμὴworshipingπροσκυνήσουσινtheτὰdemonsδαιμόνιαandκαὶtheτὰidolsεἴδωλατὰof goldχρυσᾶandκαὶτὰsilverἀργυρᾶandκαὶτὰbronzeχαλκᾶandκαὶτὰstoneλίθιναandκαὶτὰwoodξύλινα,whichἃneitherοὔτεseeβλέπεινcanδύνανταιnorοὔτεhearἀκούεινorοὔτεwalkπεριπατεῖν,
21Andκαὶnotοὐthey repentedμετενόησανofἐκtheτῶνmurdersφόνωνof themαὐτῶνnorοὔτεofἐκtheτῶνsorceriesφαρμάκωνof themαὐτῶνnorοὔτεofἐκtheτῆςsexual immoralityπορνείαςof themαὐτῶνnorοὔτεofἐκtheτῶνtheftsκλεμμάτωνof themαὐτῶν.
