1AndΚαὶto theτῷmessengerἀγγέλῳof theτῆςinἐνSardisΣάρδεσινchurchἐκκλησίαςwriteγράψον·These thingsΤάδεsaysλέγειthe [One]ὁhavingἔχωνtheτὰsevenἑπτὰSpiritsπνεύματατοῦof Godθεοῦandκαὶtheτοὺςsevenἑπτὰstarsἀστέρας·I knowΟἶδάyourσουτὰdeedsἔργα,thatὅτι[the] characterizationὄνομαyou haveἔχειςthatὅτιyou are aliveζῇς,and yetκαὶdeadνεκρὸςyou areεἶ.
2Beγίνουwatchingγρηγορῶν,andκαὶstrengthenστήρισονthe thingsτὰthat remainλοιπὰwhichἃare aboutἔμελλονto dieἀποθανεῖν,notοὐforγὰρI have foundεὕρηκάyourσουtheτὰworksἔργαhaving been completedπεπληρωμέναin the sight ofἐνώπιονtheτοῦGodθεοῦof Meμου·
3Rememberμνημόνευεthereforeοὖνwhatπῶςyou have receivedεἴληφαςandκαὶheardἤκουσαςandκαὶkeep [it]τήρει,andκαὶrepentμετανόησον·Ifἐὰνthereforeοὖνnotμὴyou shall watchγρηγορήσῃς,I will comeἥξωlikeὡςa thiefκλέπτης,andκαὶnoοὐnotμὴshall you knowγνῷςat whatποίανhourὥρανI will comeἥξωuponἐπὶyouσέ·
4Butἀλλὰyou haveἔχειςa fewὀλίγαpeopleὀνόματαinἐνSardisΣάρδεσινwhoἃnotοὐκhave soiledἐμόλυνανtheτὰgarmentsἱμάτιαof themαὐτῶν,andκαὶthey will walkπεριπατήσουσινwithμετ’Meἐμοῦinἐνwhiteλευκοῖς,becauseὅτιworthyἄξιοίthey areεἰσιν.
5The [one]ὁovercomingνικῶνthusοὕτωςwill be clothedπεριβαλεῖταιinἐνgarmentsἱματίοιςwhiteλευκοῖς,Andκαὶnoοὐnotμὴwill I blot outἐξαλείψωtheτὸnameὄνομαof himαὐτοῦfromἐκtheτῆςbookβίβλουτῆςof lifeζωῆς,andκαὶI will confessὁμολογήσωtheτὸnameὄνομαof himαὐτοῦbeforeἐνώπιονtheτοῦFatherπατρόςof Meμουandκαὶbeforeἐνώπιονtheτῶνangelsἀγγέλωνof Himαὐτοῦ.
6The [one]ὁhavingἔχωνan earοὖςlet him hearἀκουσάτωwhatτίtheτὸSpiritπνεῦμαsaysλέγειto theταῖςchurchesἐκκλησίαις.
7AndΚαὶtoτῷ[the] messengerἀγγέλῳof theτῆςinἐνPhiladelphiaΦιλαδελφείᾳchurchἐκκλησίαςwriteγράψον·These thingsΤάδεsaysλέγειtheὁHoly [One]ἅγιος,theὁTrue [One]ἀληθινός,ὁhavingἔχωνtheτὴνkeyκλεῖνof DavidΔαυίδ,the [One]ὁopeningἀνοίγωνandκαὶno oneοὐδεὶςwill shutκλείσει,andκαὶshuttingκλείωνandκαὶno oneοὐδεὶςopensἀνοίγει·
8I knowΟἶδάyourσουτὰdeedsἔργα—BeholdἰδοὺI have setδέδωκαbeforeἐνώπιόνyouσουa doorθύρανhaving been openedἠνεῳγμένην,whichἣνno oneοὐδεὶςis ableδύναταιto shutκλεῖσαιitαὐτήν—becauseὅτιlittleμικρὰνyou haveἔχειςpowerδύναμιν,and yetκαὶyou have keptἐτήρησάςMyμουτὸνwordλόγον,andκαὶnotοὐκhave deniedἠρνήσωtheτὸnameὄνομάof Meμου.
9BeholdἰδοὺI giveδιδῶ[those] fromἐκtheτῆςsynagogueσυναγωγῆςτοῦof SatanΣατανᾶ,thoseτῶνdeclaringλεγόντωνthemselvesἑαυτοὺςJewsἸουδαίουςto beεἶναι,andκαὶnotοὐκareεἰσὶνbutἀλλὰthey lieψεύδονται—beholdἰδοὺI will causeποιήσωthemαὐτοὺςthatἵναthey will comeἥξουσινandκαὶwill worshipπροσκυνήσουσινbeforeἐνώπιονtheτῶνfeetποδῶνof youσου,andκαὶthey shall knowγνῶσινthatὅτιIἐγὼhave lovedἠγάπησάyouσε.
10Becauseὅτιyou have keptἐτήρησαςtheτὸνwordλόγονof theτῆςpatient enduranceὑπομονῆςof Meμου,I alsoκἀγώyouσεwill keepτηρήσωout ofἐκtheτῆςhourὥραςof theτοῦtrialπειρασμοῦτῆςbeing aboutμελλούσηςto comeἔρχεσθαιuponἐπὶtheτῆςinhabited worldοἰκουμένηςwholeὅλης,to tryπειράσαιthoseτοὺςdwellingκατοικοῦνταςuponἐπὶtheτῆςearthγῆς.
11I am comingἔρχομαιquicklyταχύ·Hold fastκράτειto whatὃyou haveἔχεις,so thatἵναno oneμηδεὶςmay takeλάβῃtheτὸνcrownστέφανόνof youσου.
12The [one]ὁovercomingνικῶνI will makeποιήσωhimαὐτὸνa pillarστῦλονinἐνtheτῷtempleναῷof theτοῦGodθεοῦof Meμου,andκαὶoutἔξωnoοὐnotμὴshall he goἐξέλθῃanymoreἔτι,AndκαὶI will writeγράψωuponἐπ’himαὐτὸνtheτὸnameὄνομαof theτοῦGodθεοῦof Meμουandκαὶtheτὸnameὄνομαof theτῆςcityπόλεωςof theτοῦGodθεοῦof Meμου,theτῆςnewκαινῆςJerusalemἸερουσαλήμ,ἡcoming downκαταβαίνουσαout ofἐκτοῦheavenοὐρανοῦfromἀπὸtheτοῦGodθεοῦof Meμου,andκαὶtheτὸnameὄνομάof Meμουτὸnewκαινόν.
13The [one]ὁhavingἔχωνan earοὖςlet him hearἀκουσάτωwhatτίtheτὸSpiritπνεῦμαsaysλέγειto theταῖςchurchesἐκκλησίαις.
14AndΚαὶto theτῷmessengerἀγγέλῳof theτῆςinἐνLaodiceaΛαοδικείᾳchurchἐκκλησίαςwriteγράψον·These thingsΤάδεsaysλέγειtheὁAmenἈμήν,theὁWitnessμάρτυςὁfaithfulπιστὸςandκαὶtrueἀληθινός,theἡBeginningἀρχὴof theτῆςcreationκτίσεωςτοῦof Godθεοῦ·
15I knowΟἶδάyourσουτὰworksἔργα,thatὅτιneitherοὔτεcoldψυχρὸςyou areεἶnorοὔτεhotζεστός.I wishὄφελονcoldψυχρὸςyou would beἦςorἢhotζεστός.
16Soοὕτως,becauseὅτιlukewarmχλιαρὸςyou areεἶandκαὶneitherοὔτεhotζεστὸςnorοὔτεcoldψυχρός,I am aboutμέλλωyouσεto spitἐμέσαιout ofἐκtheτοῦmouthστόματόςof Meμου.
17Forὅτιyou sayλέγειςὅτιRichΠλούσιόςI amεἰμιandκαὶI have grown richπεπλούτηκαandκαὶof nothingοὐδὲνneedχρείανI haveἔχω,Andκαὶnotοὐκdo you realizeοἶδαςthatὅτιyouσὺareεἶὁwretchedταλαίπωροςandκαὶmiserableἐλεεινὸςandκαὶpoorπτωχὸςandκαὶblindτυφλὸςandκαὶnakedγυμνός,
18I counselσυμβουλεύωyouσοιto buyἀγοράσαιfromπαρ’Meἐμοῦgoldχρυσίονhaving been refinedπεπυρωμένονbyἐκfireπυρὸςso thatἵναyou may be richπλουτήσῃς,andκαὶgarmentsἱμάτιαwhiteλευκὰso thatἵναyou may be clothedπεριβάλῃandκαὶnotμὴmight be made manifestφανερωθῇtheἡshameαἰσχύνηof theτῆςnakednessγυμνότητόςof youσου,andκαὶeye-salveκολλούριονto anointἐγχρῖσαιtheτοὺςeyesὀφθαλμούςof youσουso thatἵναyou may seeβλέπῃς.
19Iἐγὼas many asὅσουςifἐὰνmight loveφιλῶI rebukeἐλέγχωandκαὶdisciplineπαιδεύω·be zealousζήλευεthereforeοὖνandκαὶrepentμετανόησον.
20BeholdἰδοὺI standἕστηκαatἐπὶtheτὴνdoorθύρανandκαὶknockκρούω·Ifἐάνanyoneτιςshould hearἀκούσῃtheτῆςvoiceφωνῆςof Meμουandκαὶopenἀνοίξῃtheτὴνdoorθύραν,indeedκαὶI will come inεἰσελεύσομαιtoπρὸςhimαὐτὸνandκαὶwill dineδειπνήσωwithμετ’himαὐτοῦandκαὶheαὐτὸςwithμετ’Meἐμοῦ.
21The [one]ὁovercomingνικῶνI will giveδώσωto himαὐτῷto sitκαθίσαιwithμετ’Meἐμοῦonἐνtheτῷthroneθρόνῳof Meμου,asὡςI alsoκἀγὼovercameἐνίκησαandκαὶsat downἐκάθισαwithμετὰtheτοῦFatherπατρόςof Meμουonἐνtheτῷthroneθρόνῳof Himαὐτοῦ.
22The [one]ὁhavingἔχωνan earοὖςlet him hearἀκουσάτωwhatτίtheτὸSpiritπνεῦμαsaysλέγειto theταῖςchurchesἐκκλησίαις.
