Matthew 15

1ThenΤότεcomeπροσέρχονταιτῷto JesusἸησοῦfromἀπὸJerusalemἹεροσολύμωνPhariseesΦαρισαῖοιandκαὶscribesγραμματεῖςsayingλέγοντες

2Because ofΔιὰwhyτίtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταίof Youσουbreakπαραβαίνουσινtheτὴνtraditionπαράδοσινof theτῶνeldersπρεσβυτέρων;Notοὐforγὰρthey washνίπτονταιtheτὰςhandsχεῖραςtheirαὐτῶνwhenὅτανbreadἄρτονthey shall eatἐσθίωσιν.

3ὁAndδὲansweringἀποκριθεὶςHe saidεἶπενto themαὐτοῖς·Because ofΔιὰwhyτίalsoκαὶyouὑμεῖςbreakπαραβαίνετεtheτὴνcommandmentἐντολὴντοῦof Godθεοῦon account ofδιὰtheτὴνtraditionπαράδοσινof youὑμῶν;

4ὁForγὰρGodθεὸςcommandedεἶπεν·HonorΤίμαtheτὸνFatherπατέραandκαὶtheτὴνmotherμητέρα,andκαί·The [one]Ὁspeaking evil ofκακολογῶνfatherπατέραorἢmotherμητέραin deathθανάτῳmust endτελευτάτω·

5Youὑμεῖςhoweverδὲsayλέγετε·WhoeverὋςἂνshall sayεἴπῃto theτῷfatherπατρὶorἢtheτῇmotherμητρί·[It is] a giftΔῶρονwhateverὃifἐὰνbyἐξmeἐμοῦyou might be profitedὠφεληθῇς,

6noοὐnotμὴhe shall honorτιμήσειtheτὸνfatherπατέραof himselfαὐτοῦ·Andκαὶyou made voidἠκυρώσατεtheτὸνcommandmentλόγοντοῦof Godθεοῦon account ofδιὰtheτὴνtraditionπαράδοσινof youὑμῶν.

7Hypocritesὑποκριταί,RightlyκαλῶςprophesiedἐπροφήτευσενconcerningπερὶyouὑμῶνIsaiahἨσαΐαςsayingλέγων·

8TheὉpeopleλαὸςthisοὗτοςwith theτοῖςlipsχείλεσίνMeμεit honorsτιμᾷ,theἡhoweverδὲheartκαρδίαof themαὐτῶνfar awayπόρρωis keptἀπέχειfromἀπ’Meἐμοῦ·

9in vainμάτηνthenδὲthey worshipσέβονταίMeμε,teaching [as]διδάσκοντεςdoctrinesδιδασκαλίας[the] preceptsἐντάλματαof menἀνθρώπων.

10AndΚαὶhaving called to [Him]προσκαλεσάμενοςtheτὸνcrowdὄχλονHe saidεἶπενto themαὐτοῖς·HearἈκούετεandκαὶunderstandσυνίετε·

11Notοὐwhatτὸis enteringεἰσερχόμενονintoεἰςtheτὸmouthστόμαdefilesκοινοῖtheτὸνmanἄνθρωπον,butἀλλὰthatτὸgoing forthἐκπορευόμενονout ofἐκtheτοῦmouthστόματοςthisτοῦτοdefilesκοινοῖtheτὸνmanἄνθρωπον.

12ThenΤότεhaving come nearπροσελθόντεςtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶsaidλέγουσινto Himαὐτῷ·Know YouΟἶδαςthatὅτιtheοἱPhariseesΦαρισαῖοιhaving heardἀκούσαντεςtheτὸνsayingλόγονwere offendedἐσκανδαλίσθησαν;

13ὁAndδὲansweringἀποκριθεὶςHe saidεἶπεν·EveryΠᾶσαplantφυτείαthatἣνnotοὐκhas plantedἐφύτευσενtheὁFatherπατήρof MeμουὁHeavenlyοὐράνιοςit will be rooted upἐκριζωθήσεται.

14Leaveἄφετεthemαὐτούς·Blindτυφλοίthey areεἰσινguidesὁδηγοὶof the blindτυφλῶν·Blindτυφλὸςnowδὲblindτυφλὸνifἐὰνthey leadὁδηγῇ,bothἀμφότεροιintoεἰςa pitβόθυνονwill fallπεσοῦνται.

15AnsweringἈποκριθεὶςthenδὲὁPeterΠέτροςsaidεἶπενto Himαὐτῷ·ExplainΦράσονto usἡμῖνtheτὴνparableπαραβολὴνthisταύτην.

16ὁAndδὲHe saidεἶπεν·StillἈκμὴνalsoκαὶyouὑμεῖςwithout understandingἀσύνετοίareἐστε;

17Not yetοὐunderstand youνοεῖτεthatὅτιeverythingπᾶντὸenteringεἰσπορευόμενονintoεἰςtheτὸmouthστόμαintoεἰςtheτὴνstomachκοιλίανgoesχωρεῖandκαὶintoεἰς[the] sewerἀφεδρῶναis cast outἐκβάλλεται;

18The thingsτὰhoweverδὲgoing forthἐκπορευόμεναout ofἐκtheτοῦmouthστόματοςout ofἐκtheτῆςheartκαρδίαςcome forthἐξέρχεται,and theseκἀκεῖναdefileκοινοῖtheτὸνmanἄνθρωπον.

19Out ofἐκforγὰρtheτῆςheartκαρδίαςcome forthἐξέρχονταιthoughtsδιαλογισμοὶevilπονηροί,murdersφόνοι,adulteriesμοιχεῖαι,sexual immoralityπορνεῖαι,theftsκλοπαί,false testimoniesψευδομαρτυρίαι,slandersβλασφημίαι.

20Theseταῦτάareἐστινthe thingsτὰdefilingκοινοῦνταtheτὸνmanἄνθρωπον,τὸbutδὲwith unwashedἀνίπτοιςhandsχερσὶνto eatφαγεῖνnotοὐdefilesκοινοῖtheτὸνmanἄνθρωπον.

21AndΚαὶhaving gone forthἐξελθὼνfrom thereἐκεῖθενὁJesusἸησοῦςwithdrewἀνεχώρησενtoεἰςtheτὰdistrictμέρηof TyreΤύρουandκαὶSidonΣιδῶνος.

22Andκαὶbeholdἰδοὺa womanγυνὴCanaaniteΧαναναίαfromἀπὸtheτῶνregionὁρίωνsameἐκείνωνhaving approachedἐξελθοῦσαwas crying outἔκραζενsayingλέγουσα·Have mercy onἘλέησόνmeμε,LordκύριεSonυἱὸςof DavidΔαυίδ·theἡdaughterθυγάτηρof meμουmiserablyκακῶςis possessed by a demonδαιμονίζεται.

23ὁAndδὲnotοὐκHe answeredἀπεκρίθηherαὐτῇa wordλόγον.Andκαὶhaving come to [him]προσελθόντεςtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶof Himαὐτοῦwere imploringἠρώτουνHimαὐτὸνsayingλέγοντες·DismissἈπόλυσονherαὐτήν,forὅτιshe cries outκράζειafterὄπισθενusἡμῶν.

24ὁAndδὲansweringἀποκριθεὶςHe saidεἶπεν·NotΟὐκI was sentἀπεστάληνifεἰnotμὴtoεἰςtheτὰsheepπρόβατατὰbeing lostἀπολωλόταof [the] houseοἴκουof IsraelἸσραήλ.

25ἡAndδὲhaving comeἐλθοῦσαshe was worshipingπροσεκύνειHimαὐτῷsayingλέγουσα·LordΚύριε,helpβοήθειmeμοι.

26ὁAndδὲansweringἀποκριθεὶςHe saidεἶπεν·NotΟὐκit isἔστινrightκαλὸνto takeλαβεῖνtheτὸνbreadἄρτονof theτῶνchildrenτέκνωνandκαὶto cast [it]βαλεῖνto theτοῖςdogsκυναρίοις.

27ἡAndδὲshe saidεἶπεν·YesΝαί,Lordκύριε,evenκαὶhoweverγὰρtheτὰdogsκυνάριαeatἐσθίειofἀπὸtheτῶνcrumbsψιχίωντῶνfallingπιπτόντωνfromἀπὸtheτῆςtableτραπέζηςof theτῶνmastersκυρίωνof themαὐτῶν.

28ThenτότεansweringἀποκριθεὶςὁJesusἸησοῦςsaidεἶπενto herαὐτῇ·OὮwomanγύναι,great [is]μεγάληof youσουtheἡfaithπίστις·Be itγενηθήτωto youσοιasὡςyou desireθέλεις.Andκαὶwas healedἰάθηtheἡdaughterθυγάτηρof herαὐτῆςfromἀπὸtheτῆςhourὥραςthatἐκείνης.

29AndΚαὶhaving departedμεταβὰςfrom thereἐκεῖθενὁJesusἸησοῦςwentἦλθενalongπαρὰtheτὴνSeaθάλασσαντῆςof GalileeΓαλιλαίας,andκαὶhaving gone upἀναβὰςonεἰςtheτὸmountainὄροςHe was sittingἐκάθητοthereἐκεῖ.

30Andκαὶcameπροσῆλθονto Himαὐτῷcrowdsὄχλοιgreatπολλοὶhavingἔχοντεςwithμεθ’themἑαυτῶνmuteκωφούς,blindτυφλούς,lameχωλούς,crippledκυλλούς,andκαὶothersἑτέρουςmanyπολλούς,andκαὶthey placedἔρριψανthemαὐτοὺςatπαρὰtheτοὺςfeetπόδαςof Himαὐτοῦ,andκαὶHe healedἐθεράπευσενthemαὐτούς·

31so thatὥστεtheτὸνcrowdὄχλονmarveledθαυμάσαιseeingβλέπονταςmuteκωφοὺςspeakingλαλοῦνταςcrippledκυλλοὺςrestoredὑγιεῖςandκαὶlameχωλοὺςwalkingπεριπατοῦνταςandκαὶblindτυφλοὺςseeingβλέποντας·andκαὶthey glorifiedἐδόξασανtheτὸνGodθεὸνof IsraelἸσραήλ.

32ὉAndδὲJesusἸησοῦςhaving called to [him]προσκαλεσάμενοςtheτοὺςdisciplesμαθητὰςof Himαὐτοῦsaidεἶπεν·I am moved with compassionΣπλαγχνίζομαιtowardἐπὶtheτὸνcrowdὄχλον,becauseὅτιalreadyἤδηdaysἡμέραιthreeτρεῖςthey continueπροσμένουσίνwith Meμοιandκαὶnothingοὐκhaveἔχουσινthatτίthey might eatφάγωσιν·andκαὶto send awayἀπολῦσαιthemαὐτοὺςhungryνήστειςnotοὐI am willingθέλω,lestμήποτεthey faintἐκλυθῶσινonἐνtheτῇwayὁδῷ.

33Andκαὶsayλέγουσινto Himαὐτῷtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταί·From whereΠόθενto usἡμῖνinἐνa secluded placeἐρημίᾳloavesἄρτοιso manyτοσοῦτοιasὥστεto satisfyχορτάσαιa crowdὄχλονso greatτοσοῦτον;

34Andκαὶsaysλέγειto themαὐτοῖςὁJesusἸησοῦς·How manyΠόσουςloavesἄρτουςhave youἔχετε;οἱAndδὲthey saidεἶπαν·SevenἙπτά,andκαὶa fewὀλίγαsmall fishἰχθύδια.

35AndκαὶHe having commandedπαραγγείλαςtheτῷcrowdsὄχλῳto sit downἀναπεσεῖνonἐπὶtheτὴνgroundγῆν

36having takenἔλαβενtheτοὺςsevenἑπτὰloavesἄρτουςandκαὶtheτοὺςfishἰχθύαςandκαὶhaving given thanksεὐχαριστήσαςHe broke [them]ἔκλασενandκαὶwas givingἐδίδουtoτοῖςdisciplesμαθηταῖςοἱand theδὲdisciplesμαθηταὶto theτοῖςcrowdὄχλοις.

37Andκαὶateἔφαγονallπάντεςandκαὶwere satisfiedἐχορτάσθησαν,andκαὶthatτὸbeing over and aboveπερισσεῦονof theτῶνfragmentsκλασμάτωνthey took upἦρανsevenἑπτὰbasketsσπυρίδαςfullπλήρεις.

38Thoseοἱthenδὲeatingἐσθίοντεςwereἦσανfour thousandτετρακισχίλιοιmenἄνδρεςbesidesχωρὶςwomenγυναικῶνandκαὶchildrenπαιδίων.

39Andκαὶhaving dismissedἀπολύσαςtheτοὺςcrowdsὄχλουςHe enteredἐνέβηintoεἰςtheτὸboatπλοῖον,andκαὶcameἦλθενtoεἰςtheτὰregionὅριαof MagadanΜαγαδάν.
