1AndΚαὶHe having enteredεἰσελθὼνagainπάλινintoεἰςCapernaumΚαφαρναοὺμafter [some]δι’daysἡμερῶνit was heardἠκούσθηthatὅτιinἐν[the] houseοἴκῳHe isἐστίν·
2Andκαὶwere gathered togetherσυνήχθησανmanyπολλοὶso thatὥστεno moreμηκέτιto have spaceχωρεῖνnot evenμηδὲτὰatπρὸςtheτὴνdoorθύραν,andκαὶHe was speakingἐλάλειto themαὐτοῖςtheτὸνwordλόγον.
3Andκαὶthey comeἔρχονταιbringingφέροντεςtoπρὸςHimαὐτὸνa paralyticπαραλυτικὸνbeing carriedαἰρόμενονbyὑπὸfourτεσσάρων.
4Andκαὶnotμὴbeing ableδυνάμενοιto come nearπροσενέγκαιto Himαὐτῷon account ofδιὰtheτὸνcrowdὄχλονthey removedἀπεστέγασανtheτὴνroofστέγηνwhereὅπουHe wasἦν,andκαὶhaving broken up [it]ἐξορύξαντεςthey let downχαλῶσιtheτὸνpalletκράβαττονon whichὅπουtheὁparalyticπαραλυτικὸςwas lyingκατέκειτο.
5Andκαὶhaving seenἰδὼνὁJesusἸησοῦςtheτὴνfaithπίστινof themαὐτῶνHe saysλέγειto theτῷparalyticπαραλυτικῷ·SonΤέκνον,are forgivenἀφίενταίof youσουtheαἱsinsἁμαρτίαι.
6Wereἦσανnowδέsomeτινεςof theτῶνscribesγραμματέωνthereἐκεῖsittingκαθήμενοιandκαὶreasoningδιαλογιζόμενοιinἐνtheταῖςheartsκαρδίαιςof themαὐτῶν·
7WhyΤίthis [man]οὗτοςthusοὕτωςdoes speakλαλεῖ;He blasphemesβλασφημεῖ·Whoτίςis ableδύναταιto forgiveἀφιέναιsinsἁμαρτίαςifεἰnotμὴaloneεἷςὁGodθεός;
8Andκαὶimmediatelyεὐθὺςhaving knownἐπιγνοὺςὁJesusἸησοῦςin theτῷspiritπνεύματιof Himαὐτοῦthatὅτιthusοὕτωςthey are reasoningδιαλογίζονταιwithinἐνthemselvesἑαυτοῖςHe saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖς·WhyΤίthese thingsταῦταreason youδιαλογίζεσθεinἐνtheταῖςheartsκαρδίαιςof youὑμῶν;
9Whichτίisἐστινeasierεὐκοπώτερον,to sayεἰπεῖνto theτῷparalyticπαραλυτικῷ·Are forgivenἈφίενταίof youσουtheαἱsinsἁμαρτίαι,orἢto sayεἰπεῖν·AriseἜγειρεandκαὶtake upἆρονtheτὸνmatκράβαττόνof youσουandκαὶwalkπεριπάτει;
10Thatἵναhoweverδὲyou might knowεἰδῆτεthatὅτιauthorityἐξουσίανhasἔχειtheὁSonυἱὸςτοῦof Manἀνθρώπουonἐπὶtheτῆςearthγῆςto forgiveἀφιέναιsinsἁμαρτίας—He saysλέγειto theτῷparalyticπαραλυτικῷ·
11To youΣοὶI sayλέγω,ariseἔγειρεtake upἆρονtheτὸνmatκράβαττόνof youσουandκαὶgoὕπαγεtoεἰςtheτὸνhomeοἶκόνof youσου.
12Andκαὶhe aroseἠγέρθηandκαὶimmediatelyεὐθὺςhaving taken upἄραςtheτὸνmatκράβαττονhe went forthἐξῆλθενbeforeἔμπροσθενallπάντων,so as forὥστεto be amazedἐξίστασθαιallπάνταςandκαὶto glorifyδοξάζειντὸνGodθεὸνsayingλέγονταςὅτιThusΟὕτωςneverοὐδέποτεdid we seeεἴδομεν.
13AndΚαὶHe went forthἐξῆλθενagainπάλινbesideπαρὰtheτὴνseaθάλασσαν·andκαὶallπᾶςtheὁcrowdὄχλοςwas comingἤρχετοtoπρὸςHimαὐτόν,andκαὶHe taughtἐδίδασκενthemαὐτούς.
14Andκαὶpassing onπαράγωνHe sawεἶδενLeviΛευὶνthe [son]τὸντοῦof AlphaeusἉλφαίουsittingκαθήμενονatἐπὶtheτὸtax boothτελώνιον,andκαὶHe saysλέγειto himαὐτῷ·FollowἈκολούθειMeμοι.Andκαὶhaving arisenἀναστὰςhe followedἠκολούθησενHimαὐτῷ.
15AndΚαὶit came to passγίνεταιrecliningκατακεῖσθαιof Himαὐτὸνinἐνtheτῇhouseοἰκίᾳof himαὐτοῦ,thatκαὶmanyπολλοὶtax collectorsτελῶναιandκαὶsinnersἁμαρτωλοὶwere reclining withσυνανέκειντοτῷJesusἸησοῦandκαὶtheτοῖςdisciplesμαθηταῖςof Himαὐτοῦ,there wereἦσανforγὰρmanyπολλοὶandκαὶthey were followingἠκολούθουνHimαὐτῷ.
16Andκαὶtheοἱscribesγραμματεῖςof theτῶνPhariseesΦαρισαίωνhaving seenἰδόντεςHimὅτιeatingἐσθίειwithμετὰtheτῶνsinnersἁμαρτωλῶνandκαὶtax collectorsτελωνῶνwere sayingἔλεγονto theτοῖςdisciplesμαθηταῖςof Himαὐτοῦ·WhyὍτιwithμετὰtheτῶνtax collectorsτελωνῶνandκαὶsinnersἁμαρτωλῶνdoes He eatἐσθίει;
17Andκαὶhaving heardἀκούσαςὁJesusἸησοῦςsaysλέγειto themαὐτοῖςὅτιNoΟὐneedχρείανhaveἔχουσινthoseοἱbeing strongἰσχύοντεςof a physicianἰατροῦbutἀλλ’thoseοἱsickκακῶςbeingἔχοντες·NotοὐκI cameἦλθονto callκαλέσαι[the] righteousδικαίουςbutἀλλὰsinnersἁμαρτωλούς.
18AndΚαὶwereἦσανtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶof JohnἸωάννουandκαὶtheοἱPhariseesΦαρισαῖοιfastingνηστεύοντες.Andκαὶthey comeἔρχονταιandκαὶsayλέγουσινto Himαὐτῷ·Because ofΔιὰwhyτίtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶof JohnἸωάννουandκαὶtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶof theτῶνPhariseesΦαρισαίωνfastνηστεύουσιν,οἱbutδὲYourσοὶdisciplesμαθηταὶnotοὐfastνηστεύουσιν;
19Andκαὶsaidεἶπενto themαὐτοῖςὁJesusἸησοῦς·NotΜὴare ableδύνανταιtheοἱsonsυἱοὶof theτοῦbridechamberνυμφῶνοςinἐνwhichᾧtheὁbridegroomνυμφίοςwithμετ’themαὐτῶνisἐστινto fastνηστεύειν;As long asὅσονtimeχρόνονthey haveἔχουσινtheτὸνbridegroomνυμφίονwithμετ’themαὐτῶνnotοὐthey are ableδύνανταιto fastνηστεύειν·
20Will comeἐλεύσονταιhoweverδὲ[the] daysἡμέραιwhenὅτανwill have been taken awayἀπαρθῇfromἀπ’themαὐτῶνtheὁbridegroomνυμφίος,andκαὶthenτότεthey will fastνηστεύσουσινinἐνthoseἐκείνῃtheτῇdaysἡμέρᾳ.
21No oneΟὐδεὶςa patchἐπίβλημαof clothῥάκουςunshrunkἀγνάφουsewsἐπιράπτειonἐπὶclothingἱμάτιονoldπαλαιόν·ifεἰnowδὲnotμή,tears awayαἴρειtheτὸpatchπλήρωμαfromἀπ’itαὐτοῦτὸnewκαινὸνfrom theτοῦoldπαλαιοῦ,Andκαὶworseχεῖρονa tearσχίσμαtakes placeγίνεται.
22Andκαὶno oneοὐδεὶςputsβάλλειwineοἶνονnewνέονintoεἰςwineskinsἀσκοὺςoldπαλαιούς·ifεἰnowδὲnotμή,will burstῥήξειtheὁwineοἶνοςtheτοὺςwineskinsἀσκούς,andκαὶtheὁwineοἶνοςwill be destroyedἀπόλλυταιandκαὶtheοἱwineskinsἀσκοί.Insteadἀλλὰwineοἶνονnewνέονintoεἰςwineskinsἀσκοὺςnewκαινούς.
23AndΚαὶit came to passἐγένετοHeαὐτὸνonἐνtheτοῖςSabbathsσάββασινis passingπαραπορεύεσθαιthroughδιὰtheτῶνgrainfieldsσπορίμων,andκαὶtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶof Himαὐτοῦbeganἤρξαντο[their] wayὁδὸνto makeποιεῖνpluckingτίλλοντεςtheτοὺςheads of grainστάχυας.
24AndκαὶtheοἱPhariseesΦαρισαῖοιwere sayingἔλεγονto Himαὐτῷ·BeholdἼδεwhyτίdo theyποιοῦσινon theτοῖςSabbathsσάββασινthat whichὃnotοὐκis lawfulἔξεστιν;
25AndκαὶHe saidλέγειto themαὐτοῖς·NeverΟὐδέποτεdid you readἀνέγνωτεwhatτίdidἐποίησενDavidΔαυὶδwhenὅτεneedχρείανhe hadἔσχενandκαὶhungeredἐπείνασενheαὐτὸςandκαὶthoseοἱwithμετ’himαὐτοῦ;
26Howπῶςhe enteredεἰσῆλθενintoεἰςtheτὸνhouseοἶκοντοῦof Godθεοῦin [the days of]ἐπὶAbiatharἈβιαθὰρthe high priestἀρχιερέωςandκαὶtheτοὺςloavesἄρτουςof theτῆςpresentationπροθέσεωςateἔφαγεν,whichοὓςnotοὐκit is lawfulἔξεστινto eatφαγεῖνifεἰnotμὴfor theτοὺςpriestsἱερεῖς,Andκαὶhe gaveἔδωκενevenκαὶto thoseτοῖςwithσὺνhimαὐτῷbeingοὖσιν;
27AndκαὶHe saidἔλεγενto themαὐτοῖς·TheΤὸSabbathσάββατονon account ofδιὰtheτὸνmanἄνθρωπονwas madeἐγένετοandκαὶnotοὐχtheὁmanἄνθρωποςon account ofδιὰtheτὸSabbathσάββατον·
28So thenὥστεLordκύριόςisἐστινtheὁSonυἱὸςτοῦof Manἀνθρώπουalso evenκαὶof theτοῦSabbathσαββάτου.
