John 17
1These thingsΤαῦταspokeἐλάλησενJesusἸησοῦς,andκαὶhaving lifted upἐπάραςtheτοὺςeyesὀφθαλμοὺςof HimαὐτοῦtoεἰςτὸνheavenοὐρανὸνHe saidεἶπεν·FatherΠάτερ,has comeἐλήλυθενtheἡhourὥρα·glorifyδόξασόνYourσουτὸνSonυἱόν,thatἵναtheὁSonυἱὸςmay glorifyδοξάσῃYouσέ,
2AsκαθὼςYou gaveἔδωκαςHimαὐτῷauthorityἐξουσίανover allπάσηςfleshσαρκός,so thatἵναallπᾶνwhomὃYou have givenδέδωκαςHimαὐτῷHe may giveδώσῃto themαὐτοῖςlifeζωὴνeternalαἰώνιον.
3Thisαὕτηnowδέisἐστινἡeternalαἰώνιοςlifeζωὴthatἵναthey may knowγινώσκωσιYouσὲtheτὸνonlyμόνονtrueἀληθινὸνGodθεὸνandκαὶwhomὃνYou have sentἀπέστειλαςJesusἸησοῦνChristΧριστόν.
4IἐγώYouσεglorifiedἐδόξασαonἐπὶtheτῆςearthγῆς,theτὸworkἔργονhaving completedτελειώσαςthatὃYou have givenδέδωκάςMeμοιthatἵναI should doποιήσω·
5AndκαὶnowνῦνglorifyδόξασόνMeμεYouσύ,Fatherπάτερ,withπαρὰYourselfσεαυτῷwith theτῇgloryδόξῃthatᾗI hadεἶχονbeforeπρὸτοῦtheτὸνworldκόσμονexistedεἶναιwithπαρὰYouσοί.
6I revealedἘφανέρωσάYourσουτὸnameὄνομαto theτοῖςmenἀνθρώποιςwhomοὓςYou have givenἔδωκάςMeμοιout ofἐκtheτοῦworldκόσμου.Yoursσοὶthey wereἦσανand to MeκἀμοὶthemαὐτοὺςYou gaveἔδωκας,andκαὶtheτὸνwordλόγονof Youσουthey have keptτετήρηκαν.
7Nowνῦνthey have knownἔγνωκανthatὅτιall thingsπάνταwhateverὅσαYou have givenδέδωκάςMeμοιofπαρὰYouσοῦareεἰσιν·
8forὅτιtheτὰwordsῥήματαthatἃYou have givenἔδωκάςMeμοιI have givenδέδωκαthemαὐτοῖς,andκαὶtheyαὐτοὶreceived [them]ἔλαβονandκαὶknewἔγνωσανtrulyἀληθῶςthatὅτιfromπαρὰYouσοῦI came forthἐξῆλθον,andκαὶthey believedἐπίστευσανthatὅτιYouσύMeμεsentἀπέστειλας.
9Iἐγὼconcerningπερὶthemαὐτῶνam prayingἐρωτῶ·Notοὐconcerningπερὶtheτοῦworldκόσμουdo I prayἐρωτῶbutἀλλὰconcerningπερὶthose whomὧνYou have givenδέδωκάςMeμοι,forὅτιYoursσοίthey areεἰσιν,
10Andκαὶthingsτὰof mineἐμὰallπάνταYoursσάareἐστινandκαὶτὰYoursσὰMineἐμά,andκαὶI have been glorifiedδεδόξασμαιinἐνthemαὐτοῖς.
11Andκαὶno longerοὐκέτιI amεἰμὶinἐνtheτῷworldκόσμῳ,and yetκαὶthemselvesαὐτοὶinἐνtheτῷworldκόσμῳthey areεἰσίν,and IκἀγὼtoπρὸςYouσὲam comingἔρχομαι.FatherπάτερHolyἅγιε,keepτήρησονthemαὐτοὺςinἐνtheτῷnameὀνόματίof YouσουwhichᾧYou have givenδέδωκάςMeμοι,thatἵναthey may beὦσινoneἓνasκαθὼςwe [are]ἡμεῖς.
12WhenὅτεI wasἤμηνwithμετ’themαὐτῶνIἐγὼwas keepingἐτήρουνthemαὐτοὺςinἐνtheτῷnameὀνόματίof YouσουwhichᾧYou have givenδέδωκάςMeμοι,AndκαὶI guarded [them]ἐφύλαξα,andκαὶnoneοὐδεὶςofἐξthemαὐτῶνhas perishedἀπώλετοifεἰnotμὴtheὁsonυἱὸςτῆςof destructionἀπωλείας,thatἵναtheἡScriptureγραφὴmight be fulfilledπληρωθῇ.
13NowνῦνhoweverδὲtoπρὸςYouσὲI am comingἔρχομαι,andκαὶthese thingsταῦταI speakλαλῶinἐνtheτῷworldκόσμῳso thatἵναthey may haveἔχωσιντὴνjoyχαρὰντὴνMyἐμὴνfulfilledπεπληρωμένηνwithinἐνthemἑαυτοῖς.
14Iἐγὼhave givenδέδωκαthemαὐτοῖςtheτὸνwordλόγονof Youσου,andκαὶtheὁworldκόσμοςhatedἐμίσησενthemαὐτούς,becauseὅτιnotοὐκthey areεἰσὶνofἐκtheτοῦworldκόσμουeven asκαθὼςIἐγὼnotοὐκamεἰμὶofἐκtheτοῦworldκόσμου.
15NotοὐκI do askἐρωτῶthatἵναYou should takeἄρῃςthemαὐτοὺςout ofἐκtheτοῦworldκόσμουbutἀλλ’thatἵναYou should keepτηρήσῃςthemαὐτοὺςfromἐκτοῦevilπονηροῦ.
16Ofἐκtheτοῦworldκόσμουnotοὐκthey areεἰσὶνasκαθὼςIἐγὼnotοὐκamεἰμὶofἐκtheτοῦworldκόσμου.
17Sanctifyἁγίασονthemαὐτοὺςbyἐνtheτῇtruthἀληθείᾳ·theὁwordλόγοςὁof Youσὸςtruthἀλήθειάisἐστιν.
18AsκαθὼςMeἐμὲYou sentἀπέστειλαςintoεἰςtheτὸνworldκόσμον,I alsoκἀγὼsentἀπέστειλαthemαὐτοὺςintoεἰςtheτὸνworldκόσμον·
19andκαὶforὑπὲρthemαὐτῶνIἐγὼsanctifyἁγιάζωMyselfἐμαυτόν,thatἵναmay beὦσινalsoκαὶtheyαὐτοὶsanctifiedἡγιασμένοιinἐνtruthἀληθείᾳ.
20NotΟὐforπερὶtheseτούτωνhoweverδὲdo I askἐρωτῶonlyμόνον,butἀλλὰalsoκαὶforπερὶthoseτῶνbelievingπιστευόντωνthroughδιὰtheτοῦwordλόγουof themαὐτῶνinεἰςMeἐμέ,
21thatἵναallπάντεςoneἓνmay beὦσιν,asκαθὼςYouσύ,Fatherπάτερ,[are] inἐνMeἐμοὶand IκἀγὼinἐνYouσοί,thatἵναalsoκαὶtheyαὐτοὶinἐνUsἡμῖνmay beὦσιν,thatἵναtheὁworldκόσμοςmay believeπιστεύῃthatὅτιYouσύMeμεsentἀπέστειλας.
22And IκἀγὼtheτὴνgloryδόξανwhichἣνYou have givenδέδωκάςMeμοιhave givenδέδωκαthemαὐτοῖς,so thatἵναthey may beὦσινoneἓνasκαθὼςWeἡμεῖς[are] oneἕν,
23IἐγὼinἐνthemαὐτοῖςandκαὶYouσὺinἐνMeἐμοί,thatἵναthey may beὦσινperfectedτετελειωμένοιinεἰςunityἕν,so thatἵναmay knowγινώσκῃtheὁworldκόσμοςthatὅτιYouσύMeμεsentἀπέστειλαςandκαὶlovedἠγάπησαςthemαὐτοὺςeven asκαθὼςMeἐμὲYou lovedἠγάπησας.
24Fatherπάτερ,[those] whomὃYou have givenδέδωκάςMeμοι,I desireθέλωthatἵναwhereὅπουamεἰμὶIἐγὼthey alsoκἀκεῖνοιmay beὦσινwithμετ’Meἐμοῦ,thatἵναthey may beholdθεωρῶσιντὴνgloryδόξαντὴνMyἐμὴνthatἣνYou gaveδέδωκάςMeμοι,becauseὅτιYou lovedἠγάπησάςMeμεbeforeπρὸ[the] foundationκαταβολῆςof [the] worldκόσμου.
25FatherΠάτερrighteousδίκαιε,althoughκαὶtheὁworldκόσμοςYouσεnotοὐκhas knownἔγνω,IἐγὼnowδέYouσεhave knownἔγνων,andκαὶtheseοὗτοιhave knownἔγνωσανthatὅτιYouσύMeμεsentἀπέστειλας,
26AndκαὶI made knownἐγνώρισαto themαὐτοῖςtheτὸnameὄνομάof Youσουandκαὶwill make [it] knownγνωρίσω,so thatἵναtheἡloveἀγάπηwith whichἣνYou lovedἠγάπησάςMeμεinἐνthemαὐτοῖςmay beᾖand Iκἀγὼinἐνthemαὐτοῖς.
