Acts 22:27

27Having come nearπροσελθὼνthenδὲtheὁcommanderχιλίαρχοςsaidεἶπενto himαὐτῷ·TellΛέγεmeμοι,youσὺa RomanῬωμαῖοςareεἶ;ὁAndδὲhe was sayingἔφη·YesΝαί.

And having come near, the commander said to him, “Tell me, are you a Roman?” And he was saying, “Yes.”
