Romans 13:1

1EveryΠᾶσαsoulψυχὴto the authoritiesἐξουσίαιςbeing above [him]ὑπερεχούσαιςlet be subjectὑποτασσέσθω,Notοὐforγὰρthere isἔστινauthorityἐξουσίαifεἰnotμὴbyὑπὸGodθεοῦ,thoseαἱhoweverδὲexistingοὖσαιbyὑπὸGodθεοῦhaving been institutedτεταγμέναιareεἰσίν.

Let every soul be subject to the authorities being above [him]. For there is no authority except by God; but those existing are appointed by God.
