39Having seenἰδὼνthenδὲtheὁcenturionκεντυρίωνὁstandingπαρεστηκὼςfromἐξopposite ofἐναντίαςHimαὐτοῦthatὅτιthusοὕτωςHe breathed His lastἐξέπνευσενhe saidεἶπεν·TrulyἈληθῶςthisοὗτοςὁmanἄνθρωπος[the] Sonυἱὸςof Godθεοῦwasἦν.
And the centurion standing opposite of Him, having seen that in this way He breathed His last, said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!”
