1AndΚαὶwhenὅτεthey drew nearἐγγίζουσινtoεἰςJerusalemἹεροσόλυμαtoεἰςBethphageΒηθφαγὴandκαὶBethanyΒηθανίανnearπρὸςtheτὸMountὌροςτῶνof OlivesἘλαιῶν,He sendsἀποστέλλειtwoδύοof theτῶνdisciplesμαθητῶνof Himαὐτοῦ
2andκαὶsaysλέγειto themαὐτοῖς·GoὙπάγετεintoεἰςtheτὴνvillageκώμηντὴνbeforeκατέναντιyouὑμῶν,andκαὶimmediatelyεὐθὺςenteringεἰσπορευόμενοιintoεἰςitαὐτὴνyou will findεὑρήσετεa coltπῶλονhaving been tiedδεδεμένονuponἐφ’whichὃνno oneοὐδεὶςnot yetοὔπωof menἀνθρώπωνhas satἐκάθισεν·having untiedλύσατεitαὐτὸνalsoκαὶbring [it]φέρετε.
3Andκαὶifἐάνanyoneτιςto youὑμῖνsaysεἴπῃ·WhyΤίare you doingποιεῖτεthisτοῦτο;sayεἴπατεὅτιtheὉLordκύριοςof itαὐτοῦneedχρείανhasἔχει·andκαὶsoonεὐθὺςitαὐτὸνHe will sendἀποστέλλειbackπάλινhereὧδε.
4Andκαὶthey departedἀπῆλθονandκαὶfoundεὗρονthe coltπῶλονhaving been tiedδεδεμένονatπρὸςthe doorθύρανoutsideἔξωbyἐπὶtheτοῦstreetἀμφόδου,andκαὶthey untiedλύουσινitαὐτόν.
5Andκαίsomeτινεςof thoseτῶνthereἐκεῖstandingἑστηκότωνwere sayingἔλεγονto themαὐτοῖς·WhatΤίare you doingποιεῖτεuntyingλύοντεςtheτὸνcoltπῶλον;
6οἱAndδὲthey spokeεἶπανto themαὐτοῖςasκαθὼςhad commandedεἶπενὁJesusἸησοῦς·andκαὶthey allowedἀφῆκανthemαὐτούς.
7Andκαὶthey ledφέρουσινtheτὸνcoltπῶλονtoπρὸςτὸνJesusἸησοῦν,andκαὶthey cast uponἐπιβάλλουσινitαὐτῷtheτὰcloaksἱμάτιαof themαὐτῶν,andκαὶHe satἐκάθισενonἐπ’itαὐτόν.
8Andκαὶmanyπολλοὶtheτὰcloaksἱμάτιαof themαὐτῶνspreadἔστρωσανonεἰςtheτὴνroadὁδόν,othersἄλλοιthenδὲbranchesστιβάδαςhaving been cut downκόψαντεςfromἐκtheτῶνfieldsἀγρῶν.
9Andκαὶthoseοἱgoing beforeπροάγοντεςandκαὶthoseοἱfollowingἀκολουθοῦντεςwere crying outἔκραζον·HosannaὩσαννά·Blessed isΕὐλογημένοςthe [One]ὁcomingἐρχόμενοςin [the]ἐνnameὀνόματιof [the] Lordκυρίου·
10BlessedΕὐλογημένη[is] theἡcomingἐρχομένηkingdomβασιλείαof theτοῦfatherπατρὸςof usἡμῶνDavidΔαυίδ·HosannaὩσαννὰinἐνtheτοῖςhighestὑψίστοις.
11AndΚαὶHe enteredεἰσῆλθενintoεἰςJerusalemἹεροσόλυμαintoεἰςtheτὸtempleἱερόν·andκαὶhaving looked around onπεριβλεψάμενοςall thingsπάνταlateὀψὲalreadyἤδηbeingοὔσηςtheτῆςhourὥραςHe went outἐξῆλθενtoεἰςBethanyΒηθανίανwithμετὰtheτῶνTwelveδώδεκα.
12AndΚαὶon theτῇnext dayἐπαύριονhaving gone outἐξελθόντωνtheyαὐτῶνfromἀπὸBethanyΒηθανίαςHe was hungryἐπείνασεν.
13Andκαὶhaving seenἰδὼνa fig treeσυκῆνfromἀπὸafarμακρόθενhavingἔχουσανleavesφύλλαHe wentἦλθενifεἰperhapsἄραanythingτιHe will findεὑρήσειonἐνitαὐτῇ,Andκαὶhaving comeἐλθὼνtoἐπ’itαὐτὴνnothingοὐδὲνHe foundεὗρενifεἰnotμὴleavesφύλλα,theὁforγὰρseasonκαιρὸςnotοὐκit wasἦνof figsσύκων.
14AndκαὶansweringἀποκριθεὶςHe saidεἶπενto itαὐτῇ·No moreΜηκέτιtoεἰςtheτὸνageαἰῶναofἐκyouσοῦno oneμηδεὶςfruitκαρπὸνmay eatφάγοι.Andκαὶwere listeningἤκουονtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶof Himαὐτοῦ.
15AndΚαὶthey comeἔρχονταιtoεἰςJerusalemἹεροσόλυμα.Andκαὶhaving enteredεἰσελθὼνintoεἰςtheτὸtempleἱερὸνHe beganἤρξατοto cast outἐκβάλλεινthoseτοὺςsellingπωλοῦνταςandκαὶthoseτοὺςbuyingἀγοράζονταςinἐνtheτῷtempleἱερῷ,andκαὶtheτὰςtablesτραπέζαςof theτῶνmoney changersκολλυβιστῶνandκαὶtheτὰςseatsκαθέδραςof thoseτῶνsellingπωλούντωνtheτὰςdovesπεριστερὰςHe overturnedκατέστρεψεν
16AndκαὶnotοὐκHe would permitἤφιενthatἵναanyoneτιςshould carryδιενέγκῃa vesselσκεῦοςthroughδιὰtheτοῦtempleἱεροῦ,
17AndκαὶHe began teachingἐδίδασκενandκαὶwas sayingἔλεγενto themαὐτοῖς·NotΟὐhas it been writtenγέγραπταιὅτιTheὉhouseοἶκόςof Meμουa houseοἶκοςof prayerπροσευχῆςwill be calledκληθήσεταιfor allπᾶσινtheτοῖςnationsἔθνεσιν;Youὑμεῖςhoweverδὲhave madeπεποιήκατεitαὐτὸνa denσπήλαιονof robbersλῃστῶν.
18Andκαὶheard [it]ἤκουσανtheοἱchief priestsἀρχιερεῖςandκαὶtheοἱscribesγραμματεῖς,andκαὶthey were seekingἐζήτουνhowπῶςHimαὐτὸνthey might destroyἀπολέσωσιν·they were afraid ofἐφοβοῦντοforγὰρHimαὐτόν,allπᾶςforγὰρtheὁcrowdὄχλοςwas astonishedἐξεπλήσσετοatἐπὶtheτῇteachingδιδαχῇof Himαὐτοῦ.
19AndΚαὶwhenὅτανeveningὀψὲcameἐγένετο,they were going forthἐξεπορεύοντοout ofἔξωtheτῆςcityπόλεως.
20AndΚαὶpassing byπαραπορευόμενοιin the morningπρωῒthey sawεἶδονtheτὴνfig treeσυκῆνhaving been dried upἐξηραμμένηνfrom [the]ἐκrootsῥιζῶν.
21Andκαὶhaving rememberedἀναμνησθεὶςὁPeterΠέτροςsaysλέγειto Himαὐτῷ·RabbiῬαββί,lookἴδεtheἡfig treeσυκῆthatἣνYou cursedκατηράσωis dried upἐξήρανται.
22AndκαὶansweringἀποκριθεὶςὁJesusἸησοῦςsaysλέγειto themαὐτοῖς·HaveἜχετεfaithπίστινfrom Godθεοῦ·
23TrulyἀμὴνI sayλέγωto youὑμῖνthatὅτιwhoeverὃςἂνshall sayεἴπῃto theτῷmountainὄρειthisτούτῳ·Be you taken awayἌρθητιandκαὶbe you castβλήθητιintoεἰςtheτὴνseaθάλασσαν,andκαὶnotμὴshall doubtδιακριθῇinἐνtheτῇheartκαρδίᾳof himαὐτοῦbutἀλλὰshall believeπιστεύῃthatὅτιwhatὃhe saysλαλεῖtakes placeγίνεται,it will be doneἔσταιfor himαὐτῷ.
24Because ofδιὰthisτοῦτοI sayλέγωto youὑμῖν,all thingsπάνταwhateverὅσαprayingπροσεύχεσθεalsoκαὶyou askαἰτεῖσθε,believeπιστεύετεthatὅτιyou receiveἐλάβετε,andκαὶit will beἔσταιto youὑμῖν.
25Andκαὶwhenὅτανyou may standστήκετεprayingπροσευχόμενοι,forgiveἀφίετεifεἴanythingτιyou haveἔχετεagainstκατάanyoneτινος,so thatἵναalsoκαὶtheὁFatherπατὴρof youὑμῶνwho [is]ὁinἐνtheτοῖςheavensοὐρανοῖςmight forgiveἀφῇyouὑμῖνtheτὰtrespassesπαραπτώματαof youὑμῶν.
27AndΚαὶthey comeἔρχονταιagainπάλινtoεἰςJerusalemἹεροσόλυμα.Andκαὶinἐνtheτῷtempleἱερῷis walkingπεριπατοῦντοςas HeαὐτοῦcomeἔρχονταιtoπρὸςHimαὐτὸνtheοἱchief priestsἀρχιερεῖςandκαὶtheοἱscribesγραμματεῖςandκαὶtheοἱeldersπρεσβύτεροι
28Andκαὶthey were sayingἔλεγονto Himαὐτῷ·ByἘνwhatποίᾳauthorityἐξουσίᾳthese thingsταῦταare You doingποιεῖς;OrἢwhoτίςYouσοιgaveἔδωκενtheτὴνauthorityἐξουσίανthisταύτηνthatἵναthese thingsταῦταYou should doποιῇς;
29ὁAndδὲJesusἸησοῦςsaidεἶπενto themαὐτοῖς·I will askἘπερωτήσωyouὑμᾶςoneἕναquestionλόγον,andκαὶyou answerἀποκρίθητέMeμοι,andκαὶI will tellἐρῶyouὑμῖνbyἐνwhatποίᾳauthorityἐξουσίᾳthese thingsταῦταI doποιῶ·
30Theτὸbaptismβάπτισματὸof JohnἸωάννουfromἐξheavenοὐρανοῦwas itἦνorἢfromἐξmenἀνθρώπων;AnswerἀποκρίθητέMeμοι.
31Andκαὶthey began reasoningδιελογίζοντοwithπρὸςthemselvesἑαυτοὺςsayingλέγοντες·whatΤίshall we say?εἴπωμεν;Ifἐὰνwe should sayεἴπωμεν·FromἘξheavenοὐρανοῦ,He will sayἐρεῖ·Because ofΔιὰwhyτίthenοὖνnotοὐκdid you believeἐπιστεύσατεhimαὐτῷ;
32Butἀλλὰshould we sayεἴπωμεν·FromἘξmenἀνθρώπων;—they were afraid ofἐφοβοῦντοtheτὸνpeopleὄχλον,allἅπαντεςforγὰρwere holdingεἶχοντὸνJohnἸωάννηνtrulyὄντωςthatὅτιa prophetπροφήτηςhe wasἦν.
33Andκαὶansweringἀποκριθέντεςτῷto JesusἸησοῦthey sayλέγουσιν·NotΟὐκdo we knowοἴδαμεν.AndκαὶὁJesusἸησοῦςsaysλέγειto themαὐτοῖς·NeitherΟὐδὲIἐγὼtellλέγωyouὑμῖνbyἐνwhatποίᾳauthorityἐξουσίᾳthese thingsταῦταI doποιῶ.
