Luke 9:24

24Whoeverὃςforγὰρ*ἂνmight desireθέλῃtheτὴνlifeψυχὴνof himαὐτοῦto saveσῶσαι,will loseἀπολέσειitαὐτήν·whoeverὃςhoweverδ’ἂνmight loseἀπολέσῃtheτὴνlifeψυχὴνof himαὐτοῦon account ofἕνεκενmeἐμοῦ,heοὗτοςwill saveσώσειitαὐτήν.

For whoever may want to save his life will lose it, but whoever may lose his life on account of Me, he will save it.
