Ephesians 1

1PaulΠαῦλοςan apostleἀπόστολοςof ChristΧριστοῦJesusἸησοῦbyδιὰ[the] willθελήματοςof GodθεοῦTo theτοῖςsaintsἁγίοιςτοῖςbeingοὖσινinἐνEphesusἘφέσῳandκαὶfaithfulπιστοῖςinἐνChristΧριστῷJesusἸησοῦ·

2Graceχάριςto youὑμῖνandκαὶpeaceεἰρήνηfromἀπὸGodθεοῦ[the] Fatherπατρὸςof usἡμῶνandκαὶ[the] LordκυρίουJesusἸησοῦChristΧριστοῦ.

3Blessed [be]ΕὐλογητὸςtheὁGodθεὸςandκαὶFatherπατὴρof theτοῦLordκυρίουof usἡμῶνJesusἸησοῦChristΧριστοῦ,the [One]ὁhaving blessedεὐλογήσαςusἡμᾶςwithἐνeveryπάσῃblessingεὐλογίᾳspiritualπνευματικῇinἐνtheτοῖςheavenly realmsἐπουρανίοιςinἐνChristΧριστῷ,

4just asκαθὼςHe choseἐξελέξατοusἡμᾶςinἐνHimαὐτῷbeforeπρὸ[the] foundationκαταβολῆςof [the] worldκόσμου,to beεἶναιfor usἡμᾶςholyἁγίουςandκαὶblamelessἀμώμουςbeforeκατενώπιονHimαὐτοῦinἐνloveἀγάπῃ,

5having predestinedπροορίσαςusἡμᾶςforεἰςdivine adoption as sonsυἱοθεσίανthroughδιὰJesusἸησοῦChristΧριστοῦtoεἰςHimselfαὐτόν,according toκατὰtheτὴνgood pleasureεὐδοκίανof theτοῦwillθελήματοςof Himαὐτοῦ,

6toεἰς[the] praiseἔπαινονof [the] gloryδόξηςof theτῆςof graceχάριτοςof HimαὐτοῦwhichἧςHe has freely givenἐχαρίτωσενusἡμᾶςinἐνtheτῷBeloved [One]ἠγαπημένῳ,

7inἐνwhomᾧwe haveἔχομεντὴνredemptionἀπολύτρωσινthroughδιὰtheτοῦbloodαἵματοςof Himαὐτοῦ,theτὴνforgivenessἄφεσιντῶνof trespassesπαραπτωμάτων,according toκατὰtheτὸrichesπλοῦτοςof theτῆςgraceχάριτοςof Himαὐτοῦ

8whichἧςHe lavishedἐπερίσσευσενuponεἰςusἡμᾶςinἐνallπάσῃwisdomσοφίᾳandκαὶunderstandingφρονήσει

9having made knownγνωρίσαςto usἡμῖνtheτὸmysteryμυστήριονof theτοῦwillθελήματοςof Himαὐτοῦ,according toκατὰtheτὴνpleasureεὐδοκίανof HimαὐτοῦwhichἣνHe purposedπροέθετοinἐνHimαὐτῷ

10forεἰς[the] administrationοἰκονομίανof theτοῦfullnessπληρώματοςof theτῶνtimesκαιρῶν,to bring togetherἀνακεφαλαιώσασθαιtheτὰall thingsπάνταinἐντῷChristΧριστῷ,the thingsτὰinἐπὶtheτοῖςheavensοὐρανοῖςandκαὶthe thingsτὰuponἐπὶtheτῆςearthγῆς·inἐνHimαὐτῷ,

11inἐνwhomᾧalsoκαὶwe have obtained an inheritanceἐκληρώθημενhaving been predestinedπροορισθέντεςaccording toκατὰ[the] purposeπρόθεσινof the [One]τοῦτὰall thingsπάνταworkingἐνεργοῦντοςaccording toκατὰtheτὴνcounselβουλὴνof theτοῦwillθελήματοςof Himαὐτοῦ,

12forεἰςτὸto beεἶναιusἡμᾶςtoεἰς[the] praiseἔπαινονof [the] gloryδόξηςof Himαὐτοῦthe [ones]τοὺςhaving first trustedπροηλπικόταςinἐντῷChristΧριστῷ·

13inἐνwhomᾧalsoκαὶyouὑμεῖςhaving heardἀκούσαντεςtheτὸνwordλόγοντῆςof truthἀληθείας,theτὸgospelεὐαγγέλιονof theτῆςsalvationσωτηρίαςof youὑμῶν,inἐνwhomᾧalsoκαὶhaving believedπιστεύσαντεςyou were sealedἐσφραγίσθητεwith theτῷSpiritπνεύματιτῆςof promiseἐπαγγελίαςτῷHolyἁγίῳ,

14whoὅisἐστιν[the] guaranteeἀρραβὼνof theτῆςinheritanceκληρονομίαςof usἡμῶν,toεἰς[the] redemptionἀπολύτρωσινof theτῆςacquired possessionπεριποιήσεως,toεἰς[the] praiseἔπαινονof theτῆςgloryδόξηςof Himαὐτοῦ.

15Because ofΔιὰthisτοῦτοI alsoκἀγώ,having heard ofἀκούσαςtheτὴνamongκαθ’youὑμᾶςfaithπίστινinἐνtheτῷLordκυρίῳJesusἸησοῦandκαὶtheτὴνloveἀγάπηντὴνtowardεἰςallπάνταςtheτοὺςsaintsἁγίους,

16notοὐdo ceaseπαύομαιgiving thanksεὐχαριστῶνforὑπὲρyouὑμῶνmentionμνείανmakingποιούμενοςinἐπὶtheτῶνprayersπροσευχῶνof meμου,

17thatἵναtheὁGodθεὸςof theτοῦLordκυρίουof usἡμῶνJesusἸησοῦChristΧριστοῦ,theὁFatherπατὴρτῆςof gloryδόξης,may giveδώῃto youὑμῖν[a] spiritπνεῦμαof wisdomσοφίαςandκαὶrevelationἀποκαλύψεωςinἐν[the] knowledgeἐπιγνώσειof Himαὐτοῦ,

18being enlightenedπεφωτισμένουςtheτοὺςeyesὀφθαλμοὺςof theτῆςheartκαρδίαςof youὑμῶνin order forεἰςτὸto knowεἰδέναιyouὑμᾶςwhatτίςisἐστινtheἡhopeἐλπὶςof theτῆςcallingκλήσεωςof Himαὐτοῦ,whatτίς[are] theὁrichesπλοῦτοςof theτῆςgloryδόξηςof theτῆςinheritanceκληρονομίαςof Himαὐτοῦinἐνtheτοῖςsaintsἁγίοις,

19andκαὶwhatτί[is] theτὸsurpassingὑπερβάλλονgreatnessμέγεθοςof theτῆςpowerδυνάμεωςof Himαὐτοῦtowardεἰςusἡμᾶςthoseτοὺςbelievingπιστεύονταςaccording toκατὰtheτὴνworkingἐνέργειανof theτοῦmightκράτουςof theτῆςstrengthἰσχύοςof Himαὐτοῦ

20whichἣνHe workedἐνήργηκενinἐντῷChristΧριστῷhaving raisedἐγείραςHimαὐτὸνout fromἐκ[the] deadνεκρῶν,andκαὶhaving set [Him]καθίσαςatἐν[the] right handδεξιᾷof Himαὐτοῦinἐνtheτοῖςheavenly realmsἐπουρανίοις

21aboveὑπεράνωeveryπάσηςprincipalityἀρχῆςandκαὶauthorityἐξουσίαςandκαὶpowerδυνάμεωςandκαὶdominionκυριότητοςandκαὶeveryπαντὸςnameὀνόματοςbeing namedὀνομαζομένουnotοὐonlyμόνονinἐνtheτῷageαἰῶνιthisτούτῳbutἀλλὰalsoκαὶinἐνthe [one]τῷcomingμέλλοντι·

22Andκαὶall thingsπάνταHe putὑπέταξενunderὑπὸtheτοὺςfeetπόδαςof Himαὐτοῦ,andκαὶHimαὐτὸνgaveἔδωκεν[to be] headκεφαλὴνoverὑπὲρall thingsπάνταto theτῇchurchἐκκλησίᾳ,

23whichἥτιςisἐστὶνtheτὸbodyσῶμαof Himαὐτοῦ,theτὸfullnessπλήρωμαof the [One]τοῦτὰallπάνταinἐνallπᾶσινfillingπληρουμένου.
