2 Thessalonians 1

1PaulΠαῦλοςandκαὶSilvanusΣιλουανὸςandκαὶTimothyΤιμόθεοςTo theτῇchurchἐκκλησίᾳof [the] ThessaloniansΘεσσαλονικέωνinἐνGodθεῷ[the] Fatherπατρὶof usἡμῶνandκαὶthe LordκυρίῳJesusἸησοῦChristΧριστῷ·

2Graceχάριςto youὑμῖνandκαὶpeaceεἰρήνηfromἀπὸGodθεοῦ[the] Fatherπατρὸςandκαὶthe LordκυρίουJesusἸησοῦChristΧριστοῦ.

3To thankΕὐχαριστεῖνwe oughtὀφείλομεντῷGodθεῷalwaysπάντοτεconcerningπερὶyouὑμῶν,brothersἀδελφοί,just asκαθὼςfittingἄξιόνit isἐστιν,becauseὅτιis increasing exceedinglyὑπεραυξάνειtheἡfaithπίστιςof youὑμῶνandκαὶis aboundingπλεονάζειtheἡloveἀγάπηof oneἑνὸςeachἑκάστουof allπάντωνyouὑμῶνtoεἰςone anotherἀλλήλους,

4so as forὥστεourselvesαὐτοὺςusἡμᾶςinἐνyouὑμῖνto boastἐγκαυχᾶσθαιinἐνtheταῖςchurchesἐκκλησίαιςτοῦof Godθεοῦaboutὑπὲρtheτῆςperseveranceὑπομονῆςof youὑμῶνandκαὶfaithπίστεωςinἐνallπᾶσινtheτοῖςpersecutionsδιωγμοῖςof youὑμῶνandκαὶin theταῖςtribulationsθλίψεσινthatαἷςyou are bearingἀνέχεσθε,

5[This is] a plain tokenἔνδειγμαof theτῆςrighteousδικαίαςjudgmentκρίσεωςτοῦof Godθεοῦ,untoεἰςτὸto be accounted worthyκαταξιωθῆναιyouὑμᾶςof theτῆςkingdomβασιλείαςτοῦof Godθεοῦ,forὑπὲρwhichἧςalsoκαὶyou sufferπάσχετε,

6For indeedεἴπερrighteous [it is]δίκαιονwithπαρὰGodθεῷto repayἀνταποδοῦναιthoseτοῖςoppressingθλίβουσινyouὑμᾶςwith afflictionθλῖψιν

7andκαὶto youὑμῖντοῖςbeing oppressedθλιβομένοιςreposeἄνεσινwithμεθ’usἡμῶνatἐνtheτῇrevelationἀποκαλύψειof theτοῦLordκυρίουJesusἸησοῦfromἀπ’heavenοὐρανοῦwithμετ’[the] angelsἀγγέλωνmightyδυνάμεωςof Himαὐτοῦ

8inἐνflamingφλογὶfireπυρός,inflictingδιδόντοςvengeanceἐκδίκησινon thoseτοῖςnotμὴknowingεἰδόσιGodθεὸνandκαὶon thoseτοῖςnotμὴobeyingὑπακούουσινtheτῷgospelεὐαγγελίῳof theτοῦLordκυρίουof usἡμῶνJesusἸησοῦ,

9whoοἵτινες[the] penaltyδίκηνwill sufferτίσουσινof destructionὄλεθρονeternalαἰώνιονaway fromἀπὸ[the] presenceπροσώπουof theτοῦLordκυρίουandκαὶfromἀπὸtheτῆςgloryδόξηςof theτῆςpowerἰσχύοςof Himαὐτοῦ,

10whenὅτανHe shall comeἔλθῃto be glorifiedἐνδοξασθῆναιinἐνtheτοῖςsaintsἁγίοιςof Himαὐτοῦandκαὶto be marveled atθαυμασθῆναιamongἐνallπᾶσινthoseτοῖςhaving believedπιστεύσασιν,becauseὅτιwas believedἐπιστεύθηtheτὸtestimonyμαρτύριονof usἡμῶνtoἐφ’youὑμᾶς,inἐνtheτῇdayἡμέρᾳthatἐκείνῃ.

11forεἰςwhichὃalsoκαὶwe prayπροσευχόμεθαalwaysπάντοτεforπερὶyouὑμῶν,thatἵναyouὑμᾶςHe may count worthyἀξιώσῃof theτῆςcallingκλήσεωςof theὁGodθεὸςof usἡμῶνandκαὶHe may fulfillπληρώσῃeveryπᾶσανgood pleasureεὐδοκίανof goodnessἀγαθωσύνηςandκαὶworkἔργονof faithπίστεωςwithἐνpowerδυνάμει,

12so thatὅπωςmay be glorifiedἐνδοξασθῇtheτὸnameὄνομαof theτοῦLordκυρίουof usἡμῶνJesusἸησοῦinἐνyouὑμῖν,andκαὶyouὑμεῖςinἐνHimαὐτῷ,according toκατὰtheτὴνgraceχάρινof theτοῦGodθεοῦof usἡμῶνandκαὶ[the] LordκυρίουJesusἸησοῦChristΧριστοῦ.
