1 Corinthians 2
1And IΚἀγὼhaving comeἐλθὼνtoπρὸςyouὑμᾶς,brothersἀδελφοί,cameἦλθονnotοὐaccording toκαθ’excellencyὑπεροχὴνof speechλόγουorἢwisdomσοφίαςproclaimingκαταγγέλλωνto youὑμῖνtheτὸtestimonyμαρτύριοντοῦof Godθεοῦ.
2NothingοὐforγὰρI decidedἔκρινάanythingτιto knowεἰδέναιamongἐνyouὑμῖνifεἰnotμὴJesusἸησοῦνChristΧριστὸνandκαὶHimτοῦτονhaving been crucifiedἐσταυρωμένον·
3And Iκἀγὼinἐνweaknessἀσθενείᾳandκαὶinἐνfearφόβῳandκαὶinἐνtremblingτρόμῳmuchπολλῷwasἐγενόμηνwithπρὸςyouὑμᾶς,
4Andκαὶtheὁmessageλόγοςof meμουandκαὶtheτὸpreachingκήρυγμάof meμου[were] notοὐκinἐνpersuasiveπειθοῖof wisdomσοφίαςbutἀλλ’inἐνdemonstrationἀποδείξειof [the] Spiritπνεύματοςandκαὶof powerδυνάμεως,
5so thatἵναtheἡfaithπίστιςof youὑμῶνnotμὴmight beᾖinἐνwisdomσοφίᾳof menἀνθρώπωνbutἀλλ’inἐνpowerδυνάμειof Godθεοῦ.
6WisdomΣοφίανhoweverδὲwe speakλαλοῦμενamongἐνtheτοῖςmatureτελείοις,wisdomσοφίανhoweverδὲnotοὐtheτοῦageαἰῶνοςof thisτούτουnorοὐδὲof theτῶνrulersἀρχόντωνtheτοῦageαἰῶνοςof thisτούτουwhoτῶνare coming to naughtκαταργουμένων·
7Butἀλλὰwe speakλαλοῦμενof Godθεοῦwisdomσοφίανinἐνa mysteryμυστηρίῳ,τὴνhaving been hiddenἀποκεκρυμμένην,whichἣνforeordainedπροώρισενὁGodθεὸςbeforeπρὸtheτῶνagesαἰώνωνforεἰςgloryδόξανof usἡμῶν·
8whichἣνnoneοὐδεὶςof theτῶνrulersἀρχόντωνtheτοῦageαἰῶνοςof thisτούτουhas understoodἔγνωκεν,ifεἰforγὰρthey had understood [it]ἔγνωσαν,notοὐκἂνtheτὸνLordκύριοντῆςof gloryδόξηςthey would have crucifiedἐσταύρωσαν·
9butἀλλὰasκαθὼςit has been writtenγέγραπται·WhatἋeyeὀφθαλμὸςnotοὐκhas seenεἶδενandκαὶearοὖςnotοὐκhas heardἤκουσενandκαὶintoἐπὶheartκαρδίανof manἀνθρώπουnotοὐκhas enteredἀνέβη,whatὅσαhas preparedἡτοίμασενὁGodθεὸςfor thoseτοῖςlovingἀγαπῶσινHimαὐτόν.
10To usἡμῖνforγὰρhas revealed [it]ἀπεκάλυψενὁGodθεὸςthroughδιὰtheτοῦSpiritπνεύματος,TheτὸforγὰρSpiritπνεῦμαall thingsπάνταsearchesἐραυνᾷ,evenκαὶtheτὰdepthsβάθητοῦof Godθεοῦ.
11Whoτίςforγὰρknowsοἶδενamong menἀνθρώπωνthe thingsτὰof theτοῦmanἀνθρώπουifεἰnotμὴtheτὸspiritπνεῦμαof theτοῦmanἀνθρώπουthat [is]τὸwithinἐνhimαὐτῷ;Soοὕτωςalsoκαὶthe thingsτὰτοῦof Godθεοῦno oneοὐδεὶςknowsἔγνωκενifεἰnotμὴtheτὸSpiritπνεῦματοῦof Godθεοῦ.
12Weἡμεῖςnowδὲnotοὐtheτὸspiritπνεῦμαof theτοῦworldκόσμουhave receivedἐλάβομενbutἀλλὰtheτὸSpiritπνεῦμαwho [is]τὸfromἐκτοῦGodθεοῦ,thatἵναwe may knowεἰδῶμενthe thingsτὰbyὑπὸτοῦGodθεοῦhaving been grantedχαρισθένταto usἡμῖν·
13whichἃalsoκαὶwe speakλαλοῦμενnotοὐκinἐνtaughtδιδακτοῖςof humanἀνθρωπίνηςwisdomσοφίαςwordsλόγοις,butἀλλ’in [those]ἐνtaughtδιδακτοῖςof [the] Spiritπνεύματος,by spiritual [means]πνευματικοῖςspiritual thingsπνευματικὰcommunicatingσυγκρίνοντες.
14[The] naturalΨυχικὸςhoweverδὲmanἄνθρωποςnotοὐacceptsδέχεταιthe thingsτὰof theτοῦSpiritπνεύματοςτοῦof Godθεοῦ,foolishnessμωρίαforγὰρto himαὐτῷthey areἐστίν,andκαὶnotοὐhe is ableδύναταιto understand [them]γνῶναι,becauseὅτιspirituallyπνευματικῶςthey are discernedἀνακρίνεται·
15He who [is]ὁhoweverδὲspiritualπνευματικὸςjudgesἀνακρίνειτὰall thingsπάντα,he himselfαὐτὸςhoweverδὲbyὑπ’no oneοὐδενὸςis judgedἀνακρίνεται.
16Whoτίςforγὰρhas knownἔγνω[the] mindνοῦνof [the] Lordκυρίου,Whoὃςwill instructσυμβιβάσειHimαὐτόν;Weἡμεῖςhoweverδὲ[the] mindνοῦνof ChristΧριστοῦhaveἔχομεν.
